YG Entertainment has announced that Baby Monster will release the music video for "Really Like You" from their debut album "Drip" at midnight on January 17, Korean time. The news has left the Kpop fan community restless.
The poster of the product reveals the concept of the music video. The image features the seven members wearing bright blue tracksuits, exuding fresh energy and raising fans' expectations. "Really Like You" - the fourth track of "Drip" - is a hip-hop R&B song that shows Baby Monster's pure and vibrant charm.
The lyrics, which capture the excitement and joy of thinking about your loved one all day, have resonated with listeners, receiving rave reviews. The upcoming music video reflects the songâs bright and youthful mood, immersing viewers in a fresh and heartfelt story.
Focusing on the members' natural charms and brand new performances, YG promises to deliver a captivating visual experience that will captivate fans.
This is the fourth music video from Baby Monster's debut album. Their double title tracks, "Drip" and "Clik Clak," both surpassed 100 million views shortly after their release, while last month's "Love In My Heart" and the upcoming "Really Like You" are expected to continue that momentum.
In addition, Baby Monster will kick off their first world tour with "2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR IN SEOUL", which will be held on January 25-26 at KSPO DOME.
On January 13, YG Entertainment announced two new locations added to the Asian leg of Baby Monster's "Hello Monsters" global tour. The concert in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) will take place on May 31, 2025, and the concert in Jakarta (Indonesia) will take place on June 14, 2025.
This information made fans extremely excited. Previously, Kpop fans in Vietnam had the opportunity to "burn" with their idols right at home, when the groups Blackpink, Super Junior, Tempest chose Vietnam as the concert venue.
However, Blackpink's two-night concert at My Dinh Stadium is still the most unforgettable, with a "huge" scale, up to 67,443 spectators, reaching a revenue of 13.66 million USD (according to Touring Data). Blackpink and Baby Monster are managed by the same company, so Vietnamese fans expect YG to invest in Baby Monster's concert in Vietnam like its seniors.
Based on the announced concert venues in other countries, such as KSPO Dome in Korea; Kia Forum in Los Angeles; Prudential Center in Newark... It can be predicted that HELLO MONSTERS concerts will usually choose a stadium (with a dome), with a capacity of about 15,000 people or less.
Ticket sales in Vietnam for many Korean artists are still quite limited. For example, BLACKPINK's two BORN PINK concerts in Hanoi in 2023 had difficulty selling tickets for the first show, with ticket scalpers rampant and price cuts affecting the image of the concert.
The next comeback of another YG girl group, 2NE1, is coming up in February 2025. The company has decided to choose a smaller venue at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) with a capacity of 5,000 - 8,000 people, taking place over two nights and expecting a total attendance of 10,000 - 16,000 people. The concert has been on sale since noon on December 9, 2024, and there are still 4 ticket categories for the first night.
Baby Monster is also a group that is loved by Vietnamese audiences because of its talented 7-member lineup (Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rami, Rora, Chiquita). Last year, this girl group proved their live singing ability and stage presence when they successfully organized a fan meeting tour in Asia.
Baby Monster debuted in November 2023 with the single "Batter Up". The group then released the single "Stuck in the Middle" and the EP "BabyMons7er". Late last year, Baby Monster released their debut album "Drip" with two title tracks "Drip" and "Clik Clak".
