Since childhood, Nghi dreamed of becoming a famous comedian like Hoai Linh.

But parents do not like the profession of "singing without species". Being banned, Nghi ran away from home to take the exam. He believes his talent will conquer the door of the University of Theater - Cinema. Who would have thought, the day of receiving the results was like a slap in the face of Nghi.

Undeterred, next year, he resolved to take the exam again. This time, the slip was more painful than the first. Depressed because the door to the beginning of life was slowly slamming in front of him, Nghi was told by a friend that the Phu Nhuan theater stage was opening a training class for actors.

Becoming a student of the Phu Nhuan Drama Theater, Xuan Nghi was guided by teachers such as artists Huu Chau, Hong Van, Minh Nhi ... wholeheartedly. They love that black, skinny, hardworking, studious student. Every time I recall, artist Minh Nhi feels: " Nghi is the one who gets yelled at the most in class. In 2014, Xuan Nghi was retained and became an actor of the theater stage Phu Nhuan. In the early days, "pregnant woman" Hong Van only showed Nghi a few simple scenes, going back and forth. When he was just starting to work, Nghi's comedic acting was a bit excessive and lacked restraint. Working as a theater actor during a difficult stage life, Nghi's income was not enough to make up for it. Many times I was so confused, I called home to ask for help, only to hear my mother crying. In addition to the stage sessions, he drove motorbike taxis, dubbing, carrying calves for pubs, cleaning hotel rooms... To save money, Nghi crowded with 7, 8 workers in an old dilapidated attic. in the slums.

"At night, it was very hot, but I had to pull the blanket to cover it from head to toe for fear of being bitten by rats. It's normal to run out of money, have to eat instant noodles, and drink thin porridge for a few months to hold your breath," said Xuan Nghi.

When he began to take on many roles on the stage, Xuan Nghi faced malicious rumors and was isolated from his colleagues. Whenever recalling the past, Xuan Nghi ponders about being falsely accused of stealing. At that time, artist Hong Van invited a foreign teacher to train the students. While practicing, Xuan Nghi saw a 5,000 dong bill falling on the floor, shouting happily: "Whose 5,000 is it, no one will admit it was Nghi." After the rehearsal, he was shocked because the rumor that he stole $5,000 from the teacher spread, and was scolded and slapped by artist Hong Van.

Xuan Nghi was silent and did not explain because "the more you explain, the bigger the problem". "When my dignity was hurt, I kept quiet and gradually separated myself. I was sad because Ms. Hong Van was in a hurry to judge me. Later, when she knew the truth, she loved me more. I was given a lot of roles but didn't. I got along well with my friends on stage. At that time, I acted with my colleagues in a warm, stressed mood," Xuan Nghi recalled. .

It was so hard, but Nghi was very diligent in applying for roles and participating in gameshows to gain experience.
