Sharing more about the decision to accept interrupting his studies because he did not have enough money to pay tuition, Xuan Dinh said: "Actually, if at that time, I had opened my mouth to ask my parents, they would definitely have borrowed. I borrowed money so I could pay tuition. But thinking about that situation, I feel sorry for my parents. They only have a few million and have to run around everywhere. I don't want that. Sometimes when I see my friends graduating, I feel sad, but thinking, stop trying to have a stable life and then graduate later."

He admitted that he was lucky that his teachers often asked about him and offered to help if Xuan Dinh continued his studies. From then on, he told himself he would continue his studies one day in the near future.

In the early days of being independent in Ho Chi Minh City, Xuan Dinh did many jobs such as cleaning construction sites and serving at restaurants. Having a passion for music, he borrowed a guitar to sing at a small cafe in the evening to earn extra income.
