Ha Uyen Linh admitted her controversial statement was due to "not controlling her emotions", saying it was the editing of the show that caused this unnecessary misunderstanding!

In recent times, contestant Uyen Linh's controversial statement allegedly related to My Tam when participating in Vietnam Idol 2023 has attracted attention from a section of the audience.

It was just my cheeky joke when I was commenting on my friend's reply."

Ha Uyen Linh also added that she was sad when the conversation with the judges, the moment she hugged My Tam or the senior asked about her personal information... are all cut off. This led some viewers to misunderstand the female contestant to boast of her achievements.

Moreover, she received an invitation to participate in Vietnam Idol rather than a freelance contestant. The choice of performing Russian and Chinese music instead of Vietnamese music is a suggestion and proposal from the program.

"The organizers advised me, in this round, there were too many people singing in Vietnamese and English. Also, I am a contestant who has been able to live and study and work in Russia.

Therefore, the program advises to choose some foreign songs, avoid Vietnamese and English songs to avoid the same color and boredom. Therefore, I just sang foreign songs to meet the colorful format that the program wanted," Uyen Linh said.
