Accordingly, at about 2:30 on the same day, Thanh Buoi's sleeper bus with license plate number 50F-004.83 drove on Highway 20, direction from Dong Nai to Lam Dong, to Phu Vinh commune, Dinh Quan district, Dong Nai province. The upper bed collided with a 16-seat passenger car with license plate number 86B-015.75 traveling in the opposite direction. At the time of the accident, both cars had many passengers.

The accident killed 4 people on the spot, 5 others were injured and were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.

At the scene, a 16-seat car was crushed. Thanh Buoi passenger car was severely damaged at the front.

According to a driver, before Thanh Buoi's car collided directly with a 16-seat car, it collided with another truck.

The four victims were identified as Mr. Nguyen Van C. (33 years old), Mr. Nguyen Xuan K. (17 years old), Mr. Nguyen Anh T. (47 years old) and Ms. Doan Thi L. (59 years old, living in Duc district). Linh, Binh Thuan) (all names are abbreviated).

Initial information, at about 2:30 a.m. on the same day, Mr. Hoang Van Tinh (37 years old, from Thua Thien Hue) was driving a passenger bus of Thanh Buoi bus company with license plate number 50F-004.83 carrying 32 passengers on Highway 20, Dong Nai direction to Lam Dong.

When arriving at km48, section of Hamlet 3, Phu Vinh commune, Dinh Quan district, Mr. Tinh drove to the left of the truck with license plate number 60C-345.13 driven by Mr. Hoang Dang Tuan (28 years old, living in Cam My district) traveling in the same direction in front. .

However, while overtaking, the right front of the sleeper crashed into the left rear of the truck. Then, the passenger car crossed the road in the opposite direction and crashed directly into a 16-seat car with license plate number 86B- 015.75 driven by Mr. Nguyen Van Canh carrying 8 passengers.

In addition, five other people in the 16-seat vehicle were injured and taken to Dinh Quan Regional General Hospital for emergency treatment.

At 8:00 a.m. the same day, driver Hoang Van Tinh went to the police headquarters to surrender. Currently, Dinh Quan district police have temporarily detained Tinh for further investigation.

After the accident occurred, leaders of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, Dong Nai Provincial Police and Dinh Quan district came to the scene to direct the investigation of the incident.

To support the families of the victims, the Traffic Safety Committee of Dong Nai province supported each family of the victim who lost 5 million VND and was injured 3 million VND.

In addition, Colonel Tran Anh Son, deputy director of Dong Nai Provincial Police and the Traffic Police Department supported all victims with a total of 2 million VND/person. Any person participating in road traffic who violates road traffic safety regulations and causes damage to others in one of the following cases will be fined from 30,000,000 VND to 100,000,000 VND, Non-custodial reform of up to 03 years or imprisonment from 01 year to 05 years:

- Causing death;

- Causing injury or harm to the health of 01 person with a bodily injury rate of 61% or higher;

- Causing injury or harm to the health of 02 or more people with a total bodily injury rate of 61% to 121%;

- Causing property damage from 100,000,000 VND to under 500,000,000 VND.

The fine for causing traffic accidents causing human damage is determined as follows:

- Causing damage to 01 person shall be subject to a fine from 30,000,000 VND to 100,000,000 VND, non-custodial reform for up to 03 years or imprisonment from 01 year to 05 years;

- Causing damage to 02 people shall be punished with imprisonment from 03 to 10 years;

- Causing damage to 03 or more people shall be punished with imprisonment from 07 to 15 years.
