Born in poverty, having lived for many years in a religious house (where Catholic monks live and work), but now at the age of nearly 40, Vy Oanh has lived a full life with her rich husband and children. . She is ranked in the list of the richest beauties in Vietnamese showbiz.
Accordingly, in order to have the current success, singer-actress Vy Oanh has gone through a very difficult past. In the past, her parents had to send her to be a monk, but during her stay with the sisters, she was passionate about art, so the sisters let them learn to play piano and sing. Growing up, when she had the opportunity to go to Saigon, the female singer studied more vocals and decided to pursue a professional path.
In addition, one of the reasons why she quit her practice was because she realized that she needed to be challenged in life.
Specifically, in an interview with the Labor newspaper, when asked what circumstances pushed the singer to become a monk, she did not hesitate to share: "Around 3rd grade, I started staying at home. For the first two years, I went back and forth, but from grade 5-9, I started to practice in the convent, staying at the convent completely, returning very little, even though the convent was only a short distance from home.
It is also my wish to become a monk when I was a child, because it is very proud to have a monk in my hometown. Kids love things like that. After staying at the convent for a long time, I more or less influenced the way of life of the nuns. I learned to sing and play, arrange flowers, learn to make crafts, and teach children."
But then, Vy Oanh decided to leave the convent. The female singer clearly explained the reason: "Sometimes in the countryside, literary troupes or concerts, I want to go see it and want to participate. But going to trial will be more or less isolated, not allowed to stumble with life. Maybe because the strict rules in the religious house prevented me from participating in those singing movements, I wanted to go out. Even then I wasn't old enough to really know if I wanted to be a monk or to sing. I remember some people saying, "She's pretty, you can't be a monk." In fact, many of the nuns in the convent were also very pretty (laughs). I guess, maybe it's because I'm starting to realize what I want."
Although she only stayed at the monastery for a short time, the singer believes that she has learned many good things to help her in the current busy world.
Vy Oanh confided: "In the past, every time I committed a crime like stealing guava or disobeying my mother, I would go to the church to kneel down to repent at the feet of the Mother of God, and my heart would be relieved. Then I promised no I'll do it again, even though I'll do it again (laughs) But it's also a way of reminding myself, I believe in God, and it's also practical to understand that it's better to live by faith.
My family is of a religious origin, especially my mother, always admonishing me to keep my soul, because my mother is afraid that I will be... the devil (laughs). I am glad that I have faith, because having faith I find myself more at peace."
Vy Oanh real name is Nguyen Thi My Oanh, born in 1985. After more than 15 years of artistic activities, she is currently a successful female singer with many hit songs such as "Dong Xanh", "Let me cry" ,...and once entered the "Top 10 Green Wave Musicians 2010" with the song "I miss you so much". Besides, she is also an actress who participated in many movies in Vietnam such as "Supermodel Smurf", "Paradise Without You" or "The Story of the End of Autumn", ..
In 2017, Vy Oanh publicized her wedding photo with her businessman husband, although it was hidden before. After getting married, the singer gave birth to a child and focused on taking care of her home, rarely participating in artistic activities. At the end of 2022, Vy Oanh released a French music album after 8 years of absence. Vy Oanh and her husband's family members from Australia all went to Hanoi to congratulate her.
Vy Oanh used to admit that her number was marketed. The singer said that she had always wanted to live a light life, away from famous things. However, some events made her accidentally "noisy" in the eyes of the majority.
"The number of me is not fair, I have to suffer unnecessary noise. To be noticed with bad images in the eyes of the audience, I myself have never wanted this. This makes me also affected mentally. Sometimes I stop to observe and see the changes after everything. Artists are often carefree and comfortable in their words and actions. After all, not only me but everyone else too. be more careful", she once shared with VietNamNet.
