The case of 23-year-old Luong Hai Nhu (native of Chuong My district, Hanoi) missing for nearly 4 months is still a matter of public attention, when the police discovered a "strange object" in To Lich River not long ago. According to Hai Nhu's family, authorities discovered an incomplete body in the To Lich River.

A few days later, the police took DNA samples from Hai Nhu's parents to check with the body. Talking to reporters about the deadline for returning DNA test results, lawyer Do Thanh Tam (Hanoi Bar Association) said that this content is stipulated in the amended Law on Judicial Assessment in 2020.

Specifically, according to law, the time limit for judicial assessment in case of solicitation of assessment shall comply with the provisions of the law on criminal procedure. "The maximum time limit for judicial assessment is 3 months (for cases not specified in Clause 2, Article 1). In case the assessment case is complicated or the workload is large, the maximum assessment time limit is 4 months," Tam said.

Recently, Mr. Luong Viet Tuyen personally shared on his personal page said: "Initially, the investigating agency told the family that the foreign object of To Lich River was not Hai Nhu, but an elderly woman, making teeth No. 4.7 of the upper jaw, but Hai Nhu made teeth No. 6 of the lower jaw. Now the family can only hope that the police investigation agency will shed light on the case to bring Hai Nhu back to his family."

It is known that since July 14 - the day Hai Nhu disappeared, Mr. Luong Viet Tuyen and his family have not stopped searching for their daughter for a day. The nearly 50-year-old father is constantly searching for his daughter's whereabouts wherever he suspects.

However, during 4 months of searching for children but there were no clues, up to now, even Mr. Luong Viet Tuyen has to express his helplessness. On his personal page, Mr. Tuyen once shared: "Now my family no longer knows how to find Hai Nhu, I hope the Vietnamese police agency will help clarify the case. May each resident share in helping our family."

In addition, Mr. Tuyen also earnestly wishes that the authorities need to participate more strongly and closely in Hai Nhu's case. "My family is already heartbroken, the hope that my daughter is alive is very slim. We just hope to find him soon," Tuyen said.

Looking up at the image of his youngest daughter on the newly created altar, Mr. Tuyen choked up: "My wife and I only have 2 daughters, working hard for decades to raise our children. When the 2 children have fully educated, graduated from school and have jobs, they thought that the couple was relaxed but disaster suddenly struck...".

Since the day I went missing, my cousins and hundreds of sympathetic people have provided the means, energy and funds to search for Hai Nhu, but all in vain. Now, only Tuyen and his family members continue to search. Every time he left home, Tuyen hoped to get information about his daughter, but he returned home disappointed.

"As far as I know, she lives emotionally. On weekdays, Nhu calls home every day, at least 2 times, sometimes 5-6 times just to confess, meticulously about school, going to work with parents. So, if he were alive, I was sure that even if he had to risk his life, he would call home. But it's been almost 4 months, she's really gone! There is no hope," he choked up.
