According to information in Saostar magazine, after Mrs. Phuong left, the ward authorities and street groups went down to clean and collect garbage at the ancient French villa located on To Hien Thanh Street to help her.

Many households who are neighbors of Mr. Phuong were surprised by the above information. According to a nearby resident, about a week ago, he saw the old woman carrying bags to collect garbage but did not return. Thought she was only going somewhere for a few days, so she didn't bother much. It wasn't until he saw the ward's people come down to clean up the garbage at the old woman's house that he was shattered.

This person added to Saostar magazine that Phuong has long led a "different" lifestyle, likes to spare garbage in the yard and in the house and does not know how to take care of herself. Garbage from her villa stinks, affecting the common life of the residents.

In the past, Mrs. Phuong had relatives living in the city, but because she did not fit in, she rarely traveled. Neighbors often bring food, when noodle cha, rice and meat, but she does not eat immediately, but hangs it at the door, until rancid to eat. Mrs. Phuong also does not like to sleep in the house, but often brings blankets to the common WC on the 1st floor to lie down.

The neighbor said she was delighted that the elderly woman had now been taken to a place where she was decent, decent and had someone to take care of her. He added that from the day she was taken away, the house was clean, and the neighborhood no longer smelled.

After that, she was assigned to a newspaper editorial office in Hanoi as a spelling correcter. Working for a while, she took time off, so currently, Mrs. Phuong does not have a pension.

Every day, Mrs. Phuong goes to collect bottles and bottles at home and sell them for money because she does not want to depend on anyone. She didn't cook rice, but asked for charity rice, who gave what to eat. Although he is old, he is still very lucid and has a good memory.

Each month she receives a subsidy of 400,000 VND. Also regularly cared for and supported by the authorities and neighbors.

According to local authorities, due to the pile of garbage in the house, Phuong often sleeps on the porch. Every 1-2 weeks, the ward and the street group all mobilized, came to clean and collect garbage for her. They have also offered to repair houses, lay floors, buy beds, televisions, wardrobes ... let her move in, but she didn't agree.

Talking to reporter Dan Tri, an official of the Social Protection Center No. 1 (Dong Anh district, Hanoi) said that Phuong was brought into the center because she wandered begging for food and begging for money on the street. "The old lady said she was picking up garbage, but in fact she was sitting at traffic lights at intersections and begging for food and money from people," he said.

According to Decision 2252/QD-UBND dated April 17, 2023 of the Hanoi People's Committee, people who beg for food or money (including accompanying people) will be taken to social assistance facilities of the city for care, nurturing, waiting for return to their place of residence or long-term fostering for people whose place of residence has not been determined.
