The case of "Samsung girl spreading HIV to 16 people" 3 subjects were arrested

The police determined that Nguyen Hong Quan had shared and spread unhealthy content to the group "pho bo" and Za.lo, including the image of a girl working at Samsung Company and spreading H.IV to many people.

On July 31, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police said that the Department of Cyber Security and High-tech Crime Prevention and Control had clarified the subjects in the case of spreading the news that "Samsung girl infected 16 people with HIV". 3 subjects were investigated for the act of spreading black cultural products and illegally sending or using information on computer networks and telecommunications networks, including: Nguyen Hong Quan, Nguyen Duc Nam, and N.L.H.

According to the authorities, on July 25, through the group "Pho Bo" "Beautiful Boys and Girls Association SEV-SEVT-SDV-SEMV-HANSOL-SAMSUNG" and Z.L named "Lesson Plan", Nguyen Hong Quan (working for Samsung Company) saw 2 videos with unhealthy content, including information and images of a woman working at Samsung Company who had infected many people with HIV.

After that, Quan used the company's internal account to search and obtain the results of portrait image information, employee phone number named C.T.D. Quan used his phone to take 2 portrait photos and many personal information of Ms. D. and then shared it on the Za.lo group named "Lesson Plan". About 10 minutes later, the subject recovered the image. However, the above image has been spread on social media platforms.

Expanding the case related to the subjects in the Za.lo group "Lesson Plan", the police also clarified Quan's act of spreading unhealthy cultural products (sharing 3 videos with questionable unhealthy content to the group), Nguyen Duc Nam (sharing 1 video with questionable unhealthy content, into the group) and N.L.H. (shared 2 videos with questionable unhealthy content to the group).

The Department of Cyber Security and High-tech Crime Prevention and Control has transferred the above case file to the Pho Yen City Police to continue investigating and handling the subject according to its competence.

The authorities are continuing to investigate and expand the case related to the act of spreading unhealthy cultural products and illegally sending or using information on computer networks and telecommunications networks of subjects.

Talking to reporters, lawyer Hoang Trong Giap (Director of Hoang Sa Law Firm) said that the case had consequences, even serious when it adversely affected individuals and businesses.

According to the lawyer, if the information disseminated or spread is false, after the fact, the disseminator may be prosecuted for criminal liability under Article 288 of the Criminal Code, the crime of illegally sending or using information on computer networks and telecommunications networks.

Citing the law, Mr. Giap said that the penalty for the above crime is "imprisonment from 6 months to 3 years". In case the authorities determine that the person spreading the news knows that the incident is not real but deliberately fabricates and spreads it in order to offend the dignity and honor of the victim, according to the lawyer, the violator will also be considered for criminal prosecution for the crime of slander. with a prison sentence of 1-3 years.

Regarding the case, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police made a record and sanctioned Ms. N.T.N. (38 years old, in Thai Nguyen City) 7.5 million VND for the act of providing and sharing fake information, false information, distorting, slandering, insulting the reputation of agencies and organizations, etc honor and dignity of individuals.

Samsung Company (in Pho Yen City, Thai Nguyen) has also sent a document to the Department of Health confirming that the case of the female worker rumored in the information posted on the above social network is not an employee of the company.

The list of people infected with H.IV is also not an employee and is not related to the company's employees. The company has asked the authorities to verify and handle cases of false information that negatively affects the image of the enterprise and its employees.
