At the age of 14, during a trip to Salvador to play for a local youth football team, Xuan Son was caught in a love affair at a Christmas party.

In front of him is Marcele Seippel, a cute blonde girl of her age. But Xuan Son's confession was quickly rejected by Marcele Seippel. "I was only 15 years old at the time, and I wanted to focus on my studies. But more importantly, I don't want to date a player," said Marcele, Xuan Son's fiancée at the time.

Marcele Seippel is the first daughter in a family of three children in the state of Salvador, Brazil. Her father is a chef, her mother works in the commercial industry, but the family's income mainly comes from a pizzeria. To reach her loved ones, every day after practice, Xuan Son comes to the house to help Marcele make cakes or make deliveries. The sincerity of the smiling boy made the high school girl vibrate. In 2018, the two lived together when Marcele had just entered college. But that same year, Xuan Son received an invitation to play for a Japanese football team. If Marcele continued her college studies, they would have to be separated as soon as they got married.

"I thought I could continue my studies at any time, but love for him is only one in my life," she said about her choice to drop out of school with her husband going abroad. That bold decision of Marcele actually did not go smoothly in the first stage. Because right at the training session for the first match on Japanese soil, Xuan Son was seriously injured and had to take a long-term break from competition.

During the time her husband was in the hospital bed, Marcele had to manage everything by herself, while taking care of, encouraging and helping her husband with personal hygiene. 6 months later, Xuan Son was able to practice recovery. Marcele admits it was a very difficult time. But she realized Xuan Son's determination to tell her heart not to give up, trying to overcome difficulties.

Unable to find development opportunities in Japan, a year later, Marcele followed her husband to Denmark. However, Xuan Son did not see many opportunities in this country. It was not until the end of 2019 that Nguyen Xuan Son received an invitation to go to Vietnam to play for Nam Dinh Club. It was also a relatively reckless decision of the Xuan Son family.

Ms. Marcele confided, when I first came to Vietnam, it took me two weeks to have the courage to walk on the road. "I've never seen so many motorcycles, so I'm scared," Marcele said. "But the friendliness of the Vietnamese people and the climate close to my hometown of Brazil helped me adapt early. What I am most dissatisfied with so far is that after 5 years in Vietnam, I still don't speak much Vietnamese."

In 2019, Xuan Son left Denmark to go to Vietnam to play in the squad of Nam Dinh FC. After 5 years together, Marcele feels satisfied with her current life. Before, she never thought that the whole family would come to live in Vietnam. It is the vibrant pace of life and friendly people here that make Marcele feel excited.

While her husband trains and competes with her teammates, Marcele takes on housework, cleaning the house and taking care of the children in a small house in Nam Dinh City. She wishes to take care of all the work in the house so that her husband can pursue his passion for football with peace of mind.

As a lover of cooking, Marcele prepares nutritious meals by herself, helping her husband maintain fitness for matches. When temporarily leaving the field, the Brazilian-born male player "transformed" into a responsible husband. He washes dishes, cleans the house, plays and takes his children to the park, watches Harry Potter movies with his wife...

Nguyen Xuan Son was born on March 30, 1997, in Pirapemas, a town in the state of Maranhao (Brazil). The birth name of this player is Rafaelson Bezerra Fernandes, a name that is quite long, quite popular in the country of Samba.
