In 9th grade, Trung Ruoi also worked part-time, serving at a beer house with a salary of 700,000 VND/month. Having a sense of humor and a passion for acting, Trung Ruoi also dreamed of changing his life through art.

Having dreamed of becoming an actor since childhood, Trung Ruoi failed the entrance exam to the University of Theater and Cinema after graduating from high school and had to attend an information technology college, then work part-time at an electronics supermarket.

When he had saved up 10 million VND, he went to study acting and took the entrance exam to Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema, passing the Drama Department. During his student years, he used to read stories for hire and perform comedy for the Youtube channel Kem Xoi TV.

The first time he started his career was the hardest. He told Dan Tri newspaper that there was a time when he often owed mone.y for iced tea because he didn't have even 3,000 VND in his pocket. "I once had to borrow 5 million VND at interest to have mone.y to spend," Trung Ruoi shared with Dan Tri newspaper.

Trung Ruoi started from comedy. There were months when he performed 28 shows a day, and sometimes 2-3 shows a day. Thanks to that, he gradually paid off his debt and bought a car on installments. His life gradually improved. Being able to participate in Tao Quan was a "stamp" of guarantee for Trung Ruoi's career. His salary increased. His life became more prosperou.s and fulfilling thanks to that.

Happy marriage, stable career

Besides his career, Trung Ruoi currently has a happy marriage with Ngoc Ha. The couple got married in 2020. According to the male artist, his wife is someone who always understands him, is a strong supporter and is also a loyal fan of his career.

Trung Ruoi's wife used to be a dancer, so she understands her husband's work very well and is never jealous. There were even times when he was on set for a whole month, but his wife did not complain. She called him every day to encourage him.

Ngoc Ha confided: "We dated for 3 years before getting married. And perhaps no other couple argued as much as we did. At that time, we didn't understand each other well, both of us had strong personalities, so we could only talk to each other for a few sentences before arguing, every time we argued it was "earth-shattering". Every time we argued and raised our voices, I wouldn't want to talk anymore. But Trung didn't like that silence, so he would try to call me, so I often turned off the phone to let us both calm down, avoiding saying hurtful words to each other."

The male artist told Vietnamnet: "My wife is also a performing artist, so she can easily understand and sympathize. She also sacrifices her work, stays home to take care of the family so that I can work with peace of mind. There were times when I was on set for a whole month but my wife never complained. She called every day to encourage me. Another happy thing for me is that my wife watches all the products I make. She is the first audience that has never criticized her husband. Sometimes I tease her that she idolizes her husband too much, but actually I really like that."

To reassure his wife, when co-starring with a female co-star in two films close together, Trung Ruoi would invite the co-star home for dinner so that the co-star would get to know his wife, so that his wife would get to know the co-star, and also as a way for the male artist to remind himself that they both know each other so they cannot do anything wrong.
