After 1975, many singers went abroad, but she stayed and continued her singing. She has not been seen in music, theater and television venues for a long time. She occasionally appears in some Buddhist music and charity programs.

Trang My Dung shared that her life changed quite a lot when she became an artist. From an unknown little girl, thanks to her rich voice, she was loved by the audience. "Fans send me a lot of letters, high stacks. When I went out on the street, the audience pointed at me and said, 'My Dung page,' " the singer recalled.

The sudden popularity made Trang My Dung self-aware that she was no longer the carefree girl of the old days. She felt she needed to change a lot to be worthy of people's affection for her.
