At the end of the year, entertainment companies have a headache with the situation of Tet bonuses and emulation bonuses for employees. A representative of an entertainment company in Ho Chi Minh City frankly shared: "This year, not all businesses can afford to give Tet bonuses. Some companies only organize year-end parties combined with lucky draws to encourage employees. This is an emotional solution when financial resources are no longer abundant."
Many successful businessmen and artists give generous bonuses to their employees, including Tran Thanh and Viet Huong.
Tran Thanh has won three Tet movie seasons, dominating Vietnamese theaters with a total revenue exceeding 1,400 billion VND. Continuously "conquering" the Vietnamese film market, Tran Thanh shared with the press that he has good treatment for employees during the Lunar New Year.
"I am proud to be one of the film crews that gives good Tet bonuses to their staff. There will be bonuses after filming, and if the film's revenue is successful, I will give more bonuses. Everyone gets a bonus, from the makeup artist to the set cleaners. Anyone who participates in the project gets a bonus," the director said.
Tran Thanh added that he offers many levels of rewards, for example, for actors, the highest person can receive up to 100 million VND.
Viet Huong also had success last year with two consecutive films, Ma da and Chi dau, earning over 100 billion VND. The female artist also runs many businesses from cosmetics, food to theater. She confidently gave a big Tet bonus to more than 200 employees.
"Each employee has their own Tet bonus, depending on their seniority and whether they meet their targets. If I didn't give them Tet bonuses, how could I have employees who have been with me for more than 10 years? Anyone who has followed me for many years will know that there was a time when I gave my employees cars. There are employees who have been with me for more than 5 years, and when they got married, I took care of it for them," the actress added.
One of the singers who can afford to give Tet bonuses to her employees is Ngo Lan Huong. Although she does not have a company and only works independently, she still decided to give Tet bonuses to her team of makeup artists, managers, media team... up to 10 people.
"Luckily, this year my song "Di giua troi ruc ro" was well received by the audience. I ran shows until New Year's Eve, extending into the first days of the year. Because the crew had to accompany me and celebrate Tet away from home, I decided to give a one-month salary bonus to the staff who accompanied me," said Ngo Lan Huong.
For small businesses or self-managed artists, Tet bonuses are a big challenge. The benefits depend directly on the revenue of the previous year and are often unstable. Many units avoid sharing information about Tet bonuses for fear of creating unnecessary pressure on the team or public opinion.
Meanwhile, the organizer of the show Anh trai say hi, DatVietVAC, held a grand year-end party in Ho Chi Minh City. The artists had the opportunity to look back, acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of the past year.
Not all artists have a management company behind them to provide financial support. For artists who work independently, Tet bonuses depend entirely on personal income.
After the resounding success of the movie "Di giua troi ruc ro", singer Ngo Lan Huong had a busy year with a packed schedule. Her salary increased 2-3 times, and to show her gratitude to her team, she gave each employee a month's salary as a bonus.
"My success cannot be achieved without their support. Despite the economic pressure, I always try to make sure everyone feels properly recognized" - Ngo Lan Huong confided.
