TOP revealed an 'extremely cruel' move towards BIGBANG, after the "Squid game 2" fever?

Recently, the online community has been abuzz with speculations that TOP ( Choi Seung Hyun) might reunite with BIGBANG. The reason comes from the fact that the male singer's name still appears on BIGBANG's official YouTube channel.

Along with his personal Instagram description, it says "TOP Choi Seung Hyun". This quickly raised hopes of a surprise reunion of BIGBANG with the full lineup. However, on February 11, TOP's representative officially spoke up to clarify this issue.

Accordingly, TOP's representative affirmed: "The name TOP has always been listed in Choi Seung Hyun's personal profile from the beginning." At the same time, the representative also reiterated TOP's previous statement in an interview about the movie "Squid Game 2", in which the male singer admitted that he felt sorry for the members but there are currently no discussions related to BIGBANG.

In addition, YG Entertainment, the company that manages BIGBANG's YouTube channel, also gave an official response: "The group's YouTube profile has not had any changes since the release of Still Life."

Previously, when the song Still Life was released, YG listed G-DRAGON, Taeyang, TOP, and Daesung as the participants in this project. However, TOP later left YG Entertainment, leaving many people wondering whether the male singer is still a part of this legendary group.

Although official statements have denied the possibility of TOP returning to BIGBANG at this time, with recent signals, fans still hope for a day when all five members can stand on stage together again.

When asked about his former group Bigbang, TOP said: "I have seriously damaged the image of Bigbang and my former company through my mistakes and poor decisions. I decided to leave because I don't want the group to suffer any more damage.

It's unbearable to think that my mistakes could affect other members. I want to clarify the reason for my departure, but I don't have any channels to do so."

Talking more about his life in the past years, TOP confided: "For the past 7 years, I have been almost isolated from society, just staying in the studio and making music. Only when I stand in front of the mic, composing music, do I feel like I can breathe. I make music to live. I have too many songs to count and I consider it my responsibility to share some of them with the fans who still support me."

On May 31, 2023, TOP officially confirmed his departure from BIGBANG through a post on his personal Instagram. The male singer removed BIGBANG's name from his profile and replied to a fan that he was leaving the group to prepare for a new chapter in his life.

After leaving BIGBANG, TOP focused on his personal career, including acting in the drama "Squid Game" season 2, which was announced in December 2024. Currently, BIGBANG continues to promote with three members: G-DRAGON, Taeyang and Daesung.
