In response to the activities serving the 30/4 Great Festival, people from all over have flocked to Ho Chi Minh City to watch each parade and procession for many days. In particular, many foreign tourists have also spent time here to enjoy.
Maysaa Bouavone Phanthaboouasy (born 2001, Lao nationality), currently studying for a master's degree in Business Administration at the National Economics University in Hanoi, is one of them. Although she is a Laotian, Maysaa is extremely good at Vietnamese. On social networks, she receives attention from the audience thanks to making videos sharing about the culture and life of both countries.
On the evening of April 24, Maysaa flew from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City and stayed at a friend's house in Tan Binh District. She visited some historical sites and famous places in the city center, along the Saigon River, experienced the double-decker bus, the new metro line and enjoyed the cuisine.
Posters were erected on the main road, music was played in public spaces, making the Laotian ho.t girl feel the careful preparation of the people and the government of Ho Chi Minh City for the April 30th celebration. A few months ago, when she learned that Vietnam was holding a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification in Ho Chi Minh City, she was determined to save mone.y to attend.
These days, Maysaa always wears traditional Lao costume, holding two Lao and Vietnamese flags on the street. At 2am on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia street, she joins the crowd to watch the parade rehearsal and watch the helicopters flying in the sky. She even stays up all night to get a good position.
Maysaa shared that "it is not difficult to recognize the patriotism and solidarity of the Vietnamese people" and she was very impressed with the vibrant beauty of Ho Chi Minh City as well as the friendliness of the people here. The Gen Z TikToker was delighted that the food in the busiest city in the country, although spicier than Hanoi, was very suitable for Lao people like her.
According to Maysaa, the April 30th celebration in Ho Chi Minh City was very large-scale, professionally and methodically organized, with the participation of many international delegations such as China, Cambodia and Laos. What moved her the most was witnessing her country's military participating in the parade, marching in unison and being warmly welcomed by the people.
Having attended the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory and todayâs 50th anniversary of Vietnamâs national reunification, Maysaa believes that both events have profound historical significance, not only for Vietnam but also for Laos. Because in 1975, Vietnam was reunified and in the same year, on December 2, the Lao Peopleâs Democratic Republic was officially born.
According to the plan, Maysaa will continue to wait to watch the parade on April 30, and then return to Hanoi on May 1 to focus on her studies. She revealed that she will be present at the 80th National Day celebration in the capital and hopes to have many interesting experiences.
Notably, during the rehearsal, Maysaa had the opportunity to meet and chat with Lao soldiers participating in the program. The ho.t TikToker shared: "I want to stay in Vietnam after finishing my master's degree." Notably, she also humorously said that if she 'marries a Vietnamese husband', she will stay forever.
For those who don't know, last year, Maysaa was rumored to be dating Quang Linh Vlogs. At that time, surfing the social network TikTok, there were many clips posted about the two with titles such as: "Suspected Maysaa is dating Quang Linh, going to Laos to meet parents?" or "Lao ho.t girl publicly declares her love for Quang Linh", attracting millions of views and hundreds of thousands of comments.
According to the investigation of "internet detectives", the YouTuber from Nghe An has liked Maysaa's posts on his personal Facebook page many times. On the occasion of bringing Loi Con back to Vietnam to visit, he also went to Laos and stopped by the TikToker Gen Z's house for dinner.
In a clip posted by Maysaa herself, she asked Quang Linh: "If I become a Laotian son-in-law, can I eat normal food like this or cook Vietnamese food?". The question startled the male YouTuber and he replied: "What". At this point, the Laotian ho.t girl laughed and let it go. Although they didn't get an answer, this interaction between the two made netizens excited. Many people also praised the young couple for having a husband and wife appearance and talking very well together.
