After graduating from Robertsdale High School in Alabama in 1978, Cook entered Auburn University and earned a bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering in 1982. In 1988, he received a master's degree in Business Administration ( MBA) at Fuqua School of Business, Duke University.

Mr. Tim Cook is a self-made billionaire and one of the highest paid CEOs in the world. In 2022, he earned $99.4 million in salary, bonuses and stocks.
His basic salary is 3 million USD. He made a lot of money in 2021 as his income increased 500% compared to the previous year, thanks to being awarded stock options in 2011 when he was promoted to CEO.
According to Forbes magazine, Mr. Tim Cook's net worth is estimated at $1.8 billion, a dream number for a CEO who does not own founding shares in the company he runs. Mr. Cook accumulated a large amount of Apple shares through incentives during his long time with the company.
Personally, Mr. Tim Cook has publicly come out as gay. In 2014, he became the first CEO of a Fortune 500 company to be openly gay.
"If knowing that Apple's CEO is gay can help someone who is struggling to accept who they are, or bring comfort to anyone who feels alone, or inspire those who "If I'm demanding equality, it's worth the trade-off with my own privacy," Mr. Tim Cook wrote in an essay posted on the Bloomberg News website in October 2014.
