Contestant accuses Sing! Asia of fixing results, calls Phuong My Chi, says shocking things about Vietnam

The second semi-final of the music show Sing! Asia 2025 has concluded with the four finalists confirmed. However, shortly after the show aired, contestant from Malaysia – Amsyar Leee – unexpectedly posted a letter cryptically accusing the organizers of cheating and fixing the results.

While public opinion was still confused by the above suspicion, Amsyar continued to attract attention when posting an article mentioning Phuong My Chi by name. Specifically, the male contestant expressed his admiration for the Vietnamese representative:

"First time learning to sing Bong phu hoa because I love Phuong My Chi's voice so much. Thank you for inspiring me with your music."

It is known that during his time participating in the competition, Amsyar Leee often covered hits by many other contestants. This time, he continued to choose a famous song by Phuong My Chi to perform. He introduced:

"Amsyar Leee once again attracted attention when posting a video singing in Vietnamese on his Instagram Story. Previously, this talented singer has tried his hand at songs in Japanese, Chinese and Hindi. This time, Vietnam is the next destination in his musical journey. The original version of the song is performed by famous Vietnamese singer - Phuong My Chi."

This action quickly caused a stir in the online community. Many people praised Amsyar's polite and respectful attitude towards his seniors and expressed their excitement at his performance in Vietnamese.

However, besides the positive reactions, there were also some concerns for Phuong My Chi. They thought that the female singer might be "collateral damage" because Amsyar had just publicly accused the Sing! Asia organizers of cheating. Some viewers advised Phuong My Chi to keep her distance and avoid getting involved in unnecessary noise at this sensitive time.

Back to the Sing! Asia results, the finale will air on July 25. However, according to information from Sinchew, the recording took place on July 16 in Macau, with the final victory belonging to the Japanese representative.

If the above information is correct, this is not a surprising result. Right from the first rounds, Miyuna made a strong impression thanks to her powerful voice and stable performance, which was evaluated by experts as somewhat superior, making many other contestants wary.

Phuong My Chi shared that Miyuna was her favorite contestant on the show. In the second semi-final, she even actively avoided confronting Miyuna. The only one who dared to confront Miyuna was Vuong Hong Hao, but the result was not very positive when he lost heavily with a score of 6-18.

Zhang Liangying was moved to share that even though she did not understand the lyrics, "her heart still ached". Meanwhile, Lee Seung Hyun was impressed by her contrast: an artist who appears introverted and shy, but strong and attractive when the music plays.

Miyuna made her mark with a musical style that blends rock, soul and pop, highlighted by her characteristic husky and powerful voice. In the Solo round, the female singer chose emotional songs such as "Nothing" and "Bồng trôi" - her famous song from 2019 and used as a soundtrack. Despite having just undergone vocal surgery, Miyuna still conquered the audience with her attractive charisma and powerful voice, advancing straight to the first semi-final with almost no obstacles.

Miyuna, born in 2002, is a prominent singer-songwriter in Japan. She has a deep, powerful voice, especially suitable for anime, drama and rock/pop themes. Starting her musical career in 2018 at the age of 16, Miyuna mainly performed in Miyazaki and Tokyo. In 2019, at the age of 17, she became the youngest artist ever to perform at Fuji Rock - the most prestigious outdoor music festival in Asia, a place that rarely gives opportunities to young faces.

Japan's leading music magazine has given many compliments to Miyuna's debut album, highly appreciating her diverse performance from alt-rock to ballad, with genuine emotions and deep impressions.

Miyuna describes herself as quite shy in real life, rarely smiling in front of the camera and often feeling "unable to speak" in front of strangers. She shares that her compositions stem from her wounds, because according to her, "if you suffer, you should admit it", thereby conveying sincere sympathy instead of empty words of comfort.
