A historic milestone for Vietnamese beauty was marked when Miss International Thanh Thuy returned and was warmly welcomed by thousands of people in Ho Chi Minh City after being crowned the highest position at the Miss International 2024 contest.

This event not only marked Thanh Thuy's personal success but also the pride of the entire nation, as for the first time, a Vietnamese representative won the crown at one of the world's largest beauty contests.

On the morning of November 18, Ho Chi Minh City was immersed in a bustling atmosphere as audiences waited at the airport to welcome Miss International Thanh Thuy back from Tokyo, Japan to Ho Chi Minh City after 6 days of being crowned Miss International 2024.

Thanh Thuy appeared radiant in a traditional ao dai by designer Lien Huong, her hair tied up high, light makeup and always smiling brightly in response to the affection of her fans. She was very surprised and happy to see the audience surrounding Tan Son Nhat airport. The new Miss International lingered to take photos, sign autographs for fans, then moved onto a double-decker bus, parading to celebrate her victory. She continuously waved and thanked those who supported her. The moment the bus slowly moved through famous places in the city left unforgettable impressions in the hearts of the people.

"Although it's hot, everyone's love for me is huge, I'm very grateful. I don't know what to say other than happiness right now," she said.

At exactly 10am, Thanh Thuy, "beauty queen boss" Pham Kim Dung and her crew started moving from the airport, passing through several major roads of the city such as Truong Son, Nguyen Van Troi, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Le Duan, Dong Khoi, Nguyen Hue, Ton Duc Thang. The bus carrying the beauty queen moved slowly through the main streets, creating a colorful festival scene.

The car with Thanh Thuy's crowned image printed on it passed many historical sites in Ho Chi Minh City. Hundreds of fans followed on motorbikes. Along both sides of the road, fans waved flags and shouted Thanh Thuy's name, creating a sea of enthusiastic people. Their eyes were filled with pride and happiness when they witnessed the Vietnamese beauty bring the prestigious crown home. Many people had prepared banners and slogans to express their love for the beauty queen.

The new Miss World Thanh Thuy also responded to the audience's affection in a very subtle way. Every time the bus stopped, she bowed to greet the audience. The beauty constantly reminded her fans to drive carefully and obey traffic laws.

After 2 hours of marching, Thanh Thuy returned to the management company's headquarters, preparing for a press conference to introduce herself to the media in her new position at 3:00 p.m. the same day. At the press conference, Thanh Thuy shared about her journey to conquer the Miss International crown, the difficulties and challenges she has experienced.

In her speech after being crowned, Thanh Thuy said: "I am the first Miss Vietnam to come to the Miss International contest and now have become the first Vietnamese Miss International. Finally, this proves that I deserve all the love from my loved ones, friends from Vietnam and all over the world"

Thanh Thuy was born in 2002, from Da Nang. Before being crowned Miss Vietnam 2022, she had achieved many remarkable achievements such as Miss Da Nang University of Foreign Languages, 1st Runner-up of Da Nang Elegant Student Contest. In the Miss International contest, Thanh Thuy surpassed 75 contestants from different countries and territories to win the highest title. Her victory brought great pride to Vietnamese beauty.
