MW 'turned her back' on Y Nhi, immediately deleted her competition photos, lost her chance to win the crown?

Miss Ý Nhi's competition journey is receiving much attention from Vietnamese beauty fans. Currently, she is only in the Top 48 Talents, the rest are losing. Recently, MW's Organizing Committee also had her Top Model competition photo deleted from the homepage, causing confusion among netizens.

Huynh Tran Y Nhi, Vietnam's representative at Miss World 2025, is having a difficult journey as she has been stopped in important sub-contests. After failing to make the Top 32 of the Sports competition, Top 24 of Miss World Talents, being eliminated at the Head To Head Challenge and most recently not being in the Top 8 of the Top Model competition, the situation of the 2002-born beauty queen at the world's largest beauty pageant is worrying.

Recently, the Vietnamese beauty fan community was also stirred up by the news that Miss World's Organizing Committee had deleted the photo of Miss Ý Nhi wearing traditional Indian costume during the Top Model competition night. Accordingly, on the evening of May 25, the photo of Ý Nhi wearing traditional Indian costume and walking on the catwalk, which was recorded and posted by the Organizing Committee on her personal page, suddenly "evaporated" without any explanation. This move made fans even more confused and worried about the Vietnamese representative.

Ý Nhi’s consecutive failures caused much regret because before that, she was considered one of the potential candidates. Right from the first days at Miss World, the beauty queen born in 2002 showed a spirit of learning, friendliness and good English communication skills. She made a good impression when she proactively interacted with international contestants, scoring points with her open communication style and bright smile. That is also the reason why the audience expected Ý Nhi to make a difference, bringing high achievements to Vietnam.

However, when she failed almost all the sub-contests at Miss World, Ý Nhi began to make beauty fans worried. The failure in the Head To Head Challenge could be partly explained when many competitors had special stories of overcoming difficulties, touching the hearts of listeners. The Sports competition is inherently a dominant playground for representatives from Europe and America - where many contestants with outstanding physique and physical strength gather.

What confused fans the most was that Ý Nhi did not make it into the Top 8 of the Top Model competition, even though her performance was considered quite good. In the performance video, Ý Nhi maintained a confident demeanor, a bright smile, and a steady catwalk. The figure-hugging evening gown also helped her stand out and attract attention. Therefore, the fact that the Vietnamese representative was eliminated from the Top 8 made many beauty fans regretful, and even difficult to explain why she could not go further.

Notably, the performances of Ý Nhi and Opal (Thailand) were objectively assessed as outstanding, but both were unexpectedly "out of the top". On the contrary, the Indian representative confidently entered the Top 2 of the Asia and Pacific region along with New Zealand, confusing many people. This action of the judges made a part of the audience believe that Miss World was showing signs of "suppressing" some Southeast Asian representatives and "favoring" the host country, causing much controversy in the international beauty fan community.

Previously, Ý Nhi showed many positive signs that made fans extremely hopeful. However, up to now, the audience clearly saw the lack of fairness of the Organizing Committee for the Vietnamese beauty queen, causing the initial expectations to gradually turn into disappointment.

Besides, it cannot be denied that Ý Nhi had a rather short preparation time. After being crowned Miss World Vietnam 2023, she went to Australia to study and temporarily stopped all domestic showbiz activities. Only a few months before Miss World, Ý Nhi started to return and speed up her preparation. The interruption and rush in her training plan may have caused Ý Nhi to lack time to thoroughly practice her performance skills, competition strategies as well as build a more consistent and outstanding personal image to compete with strong opponents.

Despite consecutive failures in the sub-contests, Ý Nhi still has a chance in the final round. According to the Miss World format, not winning the sub-contest does not mea.n being eliminated from the race. In the history of the contest, many years ago, some representatives still made it to the final Top thanks to their overall impressive performance, good performance in the final night and convincing responses. Vietnamese fans are still placing their faith in Ý Nhi's ability to "come back", hoping that she will make a strong breakthrough in the final rounds to bring pride to her homeland.
