Mr World 2024 runner-up, Mr. Tuan Ngoc, attracted attention when he appeared as a judge in the Head to Head Challenge - one of the important competitions of the 72nd Miss World pageant, taking place in India.

Appearing with an elegant demeanor in a neat suit, Mr. World Vietnam 2024 scored points thanks to his handsome appearance and professional demeanor. He also shared memorable photos when accompanying Mrs. Julia Morley and Miss Krystyna Pyszková in Hyderabad city - the host of this year's contest.

Sharing about his role this time, Tuan Ngoc expressed his appreciation: "I thank the organizers for trusting and giving me the opportunity to sit on the judge's chair for an important competition like Head to Head Challenge. I spent time carefully researching the competition format as well as the community projects of the contestants. When listening to your presentations, I truly admire the talent, enthusiasm and dedication that the representatives brought to the competition."

Tuan Ngoc arrived in India on May 20 at the official invitation of the Miss World Organization. During the event, he not only acted as a guest judge but also accompanied the contestants in many sideline activities.

The king said that as soon as he received the invitation from the Miss World organization, he quickly made a thorough plan for the trip. "In addition to preparing the necessary costumes and items, I spent a lot of time learning about Indian culture, historical and artistic sites in Hyderabad. I also updated detailed information about the contestants participating in this year's season to have a more comprehensive perspective during the judging process," he added.

During his first days in India, Tuan Ngoc had the opportunity to visit the traditional handicraft village of Shilparamam – a place that preserves the unique handicraft culture of this country. He expressed his admiration for the sophisticated products and inspiring stories from local artisans.

In addition, Mr. Vietnam also actively interacted and met with Miss World contestants from more than 100 countries around the world. He affirmed that the role of judge is not only an opportunity to evaluate but also a journey to listen and understand the stories and journeys of each contestant. "Miss World is a meaningful playground, and I really appreciate the opportunity to contribute a small part in the journey of spreading the humanistic values of the contest," he shared.

The 72nd Miss World pageant is entering its clima.x in India. This year’s representative of Vietnam is Miss Huynh Tran Y Nhi. Currently, the first two contestants officially entered the top 40 thanks to their victories in the sub-contests, including the representatives of Indonesia and Türkiye.

On the night of May 22, Monica Kezia - representing Indonesia - won the Talent competition thanks to an impressive piano performance. She is the first contestant from the Asia-Pacific region to enter the top 40. Monica, 23 years old, has a degree in mechanical engineering and currently works in the banking sector. She has won many domestic music awards and was crowned Miss World Indonesia in May 2024. At Miss World, Monica brought with her the "Pipeline for Lifeline" project - a program to provide clean water to rural people. In addition, she is also an active speaker and environmental activist.

Meanwhile, Türkiye’s representative – İdil Bilgen – was the second contestant to make it into the top 40 thanks to winning the Head to Head Challenge. The contest required contestants to present their charity projects and answer questions related to social issues. As a doctor, İdil impressed with her women’s health care project, focusing on screening and early treatment of breast and cervical cancer. With her practical project, sharp speaking ability and confidence, she surpassed many competitors from Thailand, Sri Lanka, Lebanon, etc.

İdil Bilgen, 24, 1.79 m tall, graduated with honors in Medicine from Koç University in Istanbul. She plans to begin her residency training in the United States specializing in radiation oncology. İdil is fluent in English and French. Her motto in life is: "Success is driven by hard work, focus, scientific time management and initiative." The female doctor believes that a woman's beauty lies not only in her appearance, but also in her intelligence, vision, compassion and inner values.
