Thanh Thuy was 'talked about' by 600k people, 2 Brother shows 'lost painfully' because of the main wife?

Data related to the event of Thanh Thuy being crowned Miss International 2024 was the most interested event on social networks last week. Meanwhile, the topic of the two Brother shows has not cooled down.

Data from Socialite - a social media measurement unit - shows that from November 12 to November 16, the trending keywords and topics related to the Miss International contest reached 605,680 discussions. The event exploded on social media because for the first time, a Vietnamese beauty won the Miss International title.

In the final round on November 12 in Japan, Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy made history for Vietnamese beauty when she surpassed 70 girls from countries and territories to be crowned Miss International 2024.

Posts about Thanh Thuy flooded social media with a huge amount of interaction. On TikTok, the beauty's video of her answering questions, performing in national costumes, and being crowned attracted millions of views within a few hours of being posted.

The second place is 538,288 discussions of the concert on day 2 of the show Anh trai vu ngan cong gai (ATVNCG). The program opens ticket sales for the concert night scheduled to be held on December 14 at Vinhomes Ocean Park 3 (Hung Yen).

As soon as the sale was launched, the ticket sales system crashed due to the high number of visitors. Ticketbox said that in the first minute, more than 126,000 people visited to buy tickets. The page views reached 8.3 million.

Meanwhile, the concert on day 3 of the show Anh trai say hi (ATSH) modestly ranked 10th with 65,923 discussions. The organizers have not announced the number of tickets sold.

As for Thanh Thuy, after returning home, the new Miss International 2024 had a bus parade in Ho Chi Minh City, welcomed by fans. Thanh Thuy returned home from Tokyo on the morning of November 18, 5 days after being crowned Miss International. Accompanying her was Stephen Diaz - the contest's communications director.

Family, fans, and colleagues showed up early, bringing flowers and banners to welcome her at Tan Son Nhat airport. "I'm happy to be back after nearly a month away from home. In everyone's loving arms, hearing my name called, I wanted to cry again," she said.

Miss International (MI) is one of the world's major beauty pageants alongside Miss World, Miss Universe and Miss Earth. MI was first held in 1960 in the United States. Later, the Japanese bought the brand, and the International Cultural Association (ICA) has operated the annual pageant since 1972.

Thanh Thuy attracted attention because she was the first Vietnamese beauty to win this beauty contest that has been around for over 60 years. Before her, the best results of Vietnamese beauties at this beauty contest belonged to Thuy Van (3rd runner-up in 2015), Tuong San (top 8 in 2019).

During the parade, Thanh Thuy wore an ao dai and a conical hat, stood on a double-decker bus, holding a flag and waving to fans. The convoy passed through many streets in the center of Ho Chi Minh City, as well as many historical sites such as the Reunification Palace, the Ho Chi Minh Monument Square, and Bach Dang Wharf.

Ms. Pham Kim Dung - President of Miss International Vietnam - said she hopes to use the livestream of the social networking platform of the Miss International organization to promote domestic tourism and people to foreign audiences.

After about two hours, Thanh Thuy returned to the management company's headquarters, preparing for a press conference to introduce the media in the afternoon of the same day. After being crowned, Thanh Thuy and the four runners-up participated in many exchange activities and visited children in Japan. The organizing committee said she will spend a year participating in social activities and cultural exchanges of Miss International.

Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy, 22 years old, 1.76m tall, from Da Nang. Before being crowned Miss Vietnam 2022, she won the title of Miss University of Foreign Languages under Da Nang University, 1st runner-up in the 2021 Elegant Student Contest. She is currently studying at the University of Foreign Languages (under Da Nang University) and Greenwich University Vietnam. The beauty queen was born into a family with an electrical engineer father, a small business mother, and an 18-year-old sister.
