Taylor Swift "broke the island" of the 2025 Grammys, stunned looking at the nominations, continuing to break records

On November 8, the 2025 Grammy nomination list was announced by the American Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. Taylor Swift is one of the names that attracts attention when present in 6 categories.

The Tortured Poets Department's album released in April earned Taylor five nominations: Album of the Year, Record of the Year (Fortnight), Song of the Year (Fortnight), Pop Album of the Year, and Outstanding Music Video (Fortnight).

In addition, Taylor received an additional nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with the song Us combined with Gracie Abrams.

However, Taylor Swift was not the only one who made history when the 2025 Grammy nomination list was announced yesterday. Beyonce is the dominant person this year with 11 categories, making her the most nominated artist in the history of this award. The Halo singer has a total of 99 nominations throughout his career.

Beyonce was named in important categories such as Album of the Year (Cowboy Carter), Song of the Year and Record of the Year (Texas Hold 'Em). Despite winning 29 Grammy Awards during her career, Beyonce has yet to take home the biggest award: Album of the Year. This year, she will have to compete with Taylor Swift along with André 3000, Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX, Jacob Collier, Billie Eilish and Chappell Roan for this prestigious award.

Other nominees include Charli xcx, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar and Post Malone each in seven categories. Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan received 6 nominations

However, Ariana Grande was not present at the important nominations at the 2025 Grammys, especially Album Of The Year. The singer brought home 3 nominations for this year's Grammys season including Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Dance Pop Recording and Best Pop Vocal Album.

2024 is considered by many in the music loving community to be the year of "brat" when Charli XCX's BRAT album was a resounding success. The female singer has brought herself 7 Grammys nominations at this season, surpassing many big names. Even vocalist Von Dutch participated in two major categories including Album Of The Year and Record Of The Year.

Returning with the album Radical Optimism, Dua Lipa was unable to repeat the success she did with the album Future Nostalgia. This "drop" has left the singer without any nominations at the 2025 Grammys. Similarly, Katy Perry and the album 143 have received not very positive reviews from experts as well as the music loving community. With an unsuccessful comeback, Katy Perry was officially empty-handed at the 67th Grammys Awards.

Members of the Recording Academy will vote for the winners between December 12 and January 3. The 2025 Grammys are scheduled to take place on February 2, 2025.
