Tan Hoang: Abandoned his wife to follow a young lover, lonely in old age, sick with no one to take care of him

Actor Qin Huang (born 1948) was once a familiar face on the Hong Kong (China) screen. He appeared in many works by writer Jin Yong such as Legend of the Condor Heroes (1976 and 1983 versions), The Return of the Condor Heroes (1976 and 1983 versions).

Among them, the role of Chu Ba Thong in The Return of the Condor Heroes is considered the most prominent in Tan Hoang's acting career. In recent years, he has continued to work in the arts, playing supporting roles in TVB dramas. However, since 2019, his health has declined, so Tan Hoang has stopped acting.

The life of the actor born in 1948 took a completely different turn after he decided to leave his wife and children to pursue love with a woman 20 years younger. In 2023, the actor decided to share his life tragedy with the media. Accordingly, Mr. Tan Hoang said that at the age of 50, he met Mary, a girl 20 years younger than him in mainland China.

Qin Huang once actively rejected the girl's feelings, but Mary still persistently pursued him and volunteered to take care of him. He praised Mary as a hard-working, sincere, and not materialistic woman.

He admitted that when he was healthy, he always thought that as long as he provided enough for his children, he would fulfill his responsibility as a father. However, the distance caused his children to distance themselves from him. In recent years, he wanted to mend the relationship, but his four children, including three girls and one boy, were indifferent.

Last May, the actor fell again and had to be hospitalized. He was then transferred to a nursing home. The veteran TVB actor admitted that he was having financial difficulties, living on social welfare and money borrowed from friends.

When his young lover turned his back on him, Tan Hoan only found joy in the rare times his daughter visited him at the nursing home. Tan Hoang admitted that at this time, he only wished to get well soon so he could return to work to earn more income and take care of himself.

The once-famous star now relies on social welfare and the help of friends. The actor said he receives a monthly hospital living allowance of 11,000 HKD (more than 34 million VND). He is currently in debt to the bank and has difficulty paying it back. The actor also had to sell his house in Hong Kong (China).

Years ago, after his first marriage broke down, Qin Huang had an affair with a girlfriend 30 years younger than him, named Marry. This woman had a daughter of her own. Qin Huang still considered her as his own daughter. He even took the initiative to spend money to buy a house for Mary in her hometown.

However, when the actor was sick, his girlfriend was not there to take care of him. He said: "That is in the past, the most important thing for me now is to take good care of myself and live well every day." The actor also did not blame his young girlfriend.

The Condor Hero actor optimistically shared: "Living in a nursing home is already a good thing. Every month, I receive a living allowance, I don't have to worry about three meals, and everyone has someone to take care of my needs. It's much better than paying for a hotel myself."

Previously, Zhou Botong - Qin Huang lived alone in a cheap hotel. He celebrated New Year's Eve alone and fell twice in the hotel but no one knew. Currently, his monthly hospital bills are paid by close friends.
