Taeil: Idol kicked out of NCT by SM due to scandal, used to be very hot, even set a Guinness Record

Taeil's real name is Moon Taeil, born on June 14, 1994 in Seoul, South Korea. He is active in the arts as a singer, a former member of the Korean boy band NCT and its subgroups NCT U, NCT 127 under SM Entertainment.

Before becoming a famous star, Taeil was a former student of Seoul Life and Science High School, then was admitted to the Department of Applied Music at Hanyang University in Ansan-si, Gyeonggi (in 2013). On August 7, Taeil released the song "Stay in My Life" - the soundtrack of the TV series "School 2017" in collaboration with Taeyong and Doyoung. On December 30, he contributed vocals to the song "Sound Of Your Heart", collaborating with other SM artists such as Yesung, Sunny, Luna, Wendy, Seulgi, Doyoung under the name SM Town and pianist Steve Barakatt.

Taeil then collaborated with Doyoung to release the song "Radio Romance", the soundtrack of the TV series "Radio Romance" on January 30, 2018. On September 7 of the same year, he and Jaehyun released the song "New Dream", the soundtrack of the TV series "Dokgo Rewind".

On March 30, 2019, Taeil featured in Sohlee's song "Purple". In November, he appeared on the show "King of Mask Singer" under the nickname King Card. On April 11, 2021, he featured in Moon Su-jin's song "The Moon".

In May of the same year, it was announced that Taeil would be participating in Kim Min-ki's tribute album, Morning Dew 50th Anniversary Tribute Album. On June 6 and June 28, two songs, "A Beautiful Human Being" (part 1 of the album) performed by him and "Morning Dew" (part 4 of the album) performed by various artists including Taeil, were released.

On July 6, 2021, Taeil opened an Instagram account and immediately made a strong impression when he broke the Guinness World Record for the title of "Fastest account to reach 1 million followers on Instagram", previously set by famous actor - Rupert Grint in November 2020.

On October 11, 2021, Taeil and rapper Lil Boi participated in DJ Raiden's debut album "Love Right Back" with the title track of the same name. They promoted the song together on M Countdown and Inkigayo. On December 27 of the same year, the 9x male idol collaborated with Onew and Kyuhyun to release the song "Ordinary Day" on SM Entertainment's 2021 winter album Winter SMTOWN: SMCU Express.

On February 13, 2022, Taeil released the song "Starlight" for the first part of the TV series "Twenty-Five, Twenty-One". In December of the same year, he had an accident while falling at the filming location of a commercial.

In August 2023, SM suddenly announced that Taeil had another accident while driving his motorbike home. Notably, the medical examination results showed that the male idol's right femur was broken and had to undergo surgery. Of course, he also had to temporarily stop working to focus on treatment.

According to Edaily on August 28, Taeil was officially removed from the group NCT after being accused of being involved in a criminal case. SM Entertainment also confirmed the incident:

"We have confirmed that Taeil is involved in a criminal case. This incident is serious in nature, making it impossible for him to continue his activities with the group. After discussing and reaching an agreement with Taeil, we decided to respect his opinion and let him leave the group."
