Now, We Are Breaking Up is a film that marks Song Hye Kyo's return to television 3 years after the success of the movie "Encounter" starring Park Bo Gum.

On March 10, Korean media reported that the producer of the movie Now, We Are Breaking Up announced the cast. Accordingly, Song Hye Kyo will play the female lead alongside famous names in the land of kimchi including Jang Ki Yong, Choi Hee Seo and Kim Joo Hun. This is also the first television project of the beauty born in 1981 after the movie Encounter (Vietnamese title: Meet) in cooperation with the handsome Park Bo Gum.

Notably, Song Hye Kyo once refused an invitation to appear in Now, We Are Breaking Up. However, the film crew sent a second request and was accepted by the actress after studying the script carefully.

Now, We Are Breaking Up revolves around a broken love story and since then shows many aspects of relationships when the couple's feelings are gone. The film was written by Je In - the writer behind the success of Misty (Vietnamese title: Vague) and directed by Lee Gil Bok. Previously, Lee Gil Bok directed and produced famous films including My Love from Star (Vietnamese title: Why brought him here), Dr. Romantic 2 (Vietnamese title: German medical teacher 2) and Vagabond (Vietnamese title: Wanderer). I'm Breaking Up Now is scheduled to start filming next April and air on SBS in the second half of 2021.

As soon as Song Hye Kyo's new movie was announced, a debate broke out on forums in Korea.
