On her personal page, Miss Ky Duyen was moved to tears when she saw a part of the National Costume design appear in the Miss Universe 2024 finale. Notably, the beauty queen also mentioned the name of the character who "borrowed" her outfit.

Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen's 20-day journey at Miss Universe has officially ended after the final night took place on the evening of November 16 in Mexico (morning of November 17 in Vietnam). The final victory belonged to the Danish beauty. She represented this country in Miss Grand International 2022 but did not achieve a high position. The achievements of the remaining 4 runners-up of Miss Universe 2024 are: Nigeria (1st runner-up), Mexico (2nd runner-up), Thailand (3rd runner-up) and Venezuela (4th runner-up).

Vietnam's representative entered the top 30, stopping before the top 12 of the contest. After Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau and Bui Quynh Hoa were out of the top 10, Ky Duyen brought Vietnam back to the list of countries with strong representation at Miss Universe.
