In the latest statement from the Miss Universe president, Miss Universe Philippines - Chelsea Manalo is the one with the highest score among the contestants in the Asian region. However, this beauty did not have the chance to enter the Top 5 and only stopped at the final Top 30 position.

"For your information, the Philippines is the Asian country with the highest score from the preliminary round. It was clear from the beginning that we had 4 Misses for each region. After the announcement from the Miss Universe president, many beauty fans were confused by the final results when the beauty from Thailand - Suchata Chuangsri swept into the Top 30, Top 12, Top 5 and won the title of 3rd Runner-up. Meanwhile, Chelsea Manalo (Miss Universe Philippines), the beauty who was highly rated and had the highest qualifying score in the region, stopped at the call of her name in the Top 12.

On social media platforms, netizens expressed regret for the Philippines' final position in this year's competition. Some even said that the president's announcement of a Top 30 beauty with a higher score than the current 3rd runner-up Miss Universe was like "throwing cold water" on Thailand.

At the end of the contest, the titles of Miss Universe 2024 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th runner-up were respectively awarded to beauties from Nigeria (Chidimma Adetshina), Mexico (María Fernanda Beltrán), Thailand (Suchata Chuangsri), and Venezuela (Ileana Márquez).

The Miss Universe Organizing Committee also announced the following subsidiary awards: Miss Asia, Miss America, Miss Africa, Miss Oceania, and Miss Europe, respectively, to representatives from the Philippines, Peru, Nigeria, and Finland. These subsidiary awards were presented after the program ended.

After the evening gown competition of the top 12, the organizers announced the top 5 including beauties from Nigeria, Mexico, Denmark, Thailand and Venezuela. The top 5 will enter the behavioral competition.

After announcing the top 30, top 12 and top 5, the official Facebook page of Miss Universe continuously received tens of thousands of angry reactions. Some people even left haha symbols and unfriendly comments.

The Top 5 answered the same question in 30 seconds: "Miss Universe inspires many generations of women. What message do you want to convey to the audience watching the contest?"

The top 12 includes representatives from Bolivia, Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Nigeria, Russia, Chile, Thailand, Denmark, Canada and Peru. Thus, Ky Duyen stopped at the top 30.
