The whole world has not stopped being shocked by the catastrophic consequences of the terrible explosion in the Lebanese capital Beirut on August 4. Currently, at least 135 people have been killed, 5,000 people are injured, about 300,000 people are in a "screen of heaven and earth". Damage was estimated at more than 3 billion USD. Half the city was destroyed.
The mayor of Beirut, Mr. Marwan Abboud, burst into tears when he described the August 4 explosion as terrible as the atomic bomb was dropped on Japan in 1945. "The explosion is similar to what happened in Japan, in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I have never seen such a large devastation. This is a national disaster, a disaster for Lebanon," Mr. Abboud told reporters. Mayor Abboud wiped away tears and reassured: "We need to be strong, we are firm and courageous, but the damage is too great."
