SMO - 95G LEADER: Having raped diss WOWY, seeing his teammates as opponents, what will be the outcome?

SMO is known as the leader of the group 95G, one of the rappers who created a wave of trap music and breathed life into HipHop Vietnam. Recently, he attracted attention when he appeared at "Rap Viet" season 3.

Rapper SMO was born in 1995 in Dak Lak. His most prominent products include: Go, Burn It, Hammer Go,... SMO even released a short film called "It's New Day."

SMO has an interesting story with rapper Wowy, they met during their tour through Viet Lao Dai to Buon Ma Thuot. Here, the two have the opportunity to chill, eat and listen to miscellaneous music together. They also chatted about world rap music and shared ideas in the field.

Currently, SMO is a member and leader of the boy band 95G (95generation). In 2020, he released two Wowy dizz tracks titled "Want to Play Me" and "Big Already". These songs refer to the uneven split in his "Living Star Zone" project when his 95G collaboration with Wowy. However, this contradiction was quickly resolved thereafter.

In 2021, two members of 95generation - SMO and Lil'Wuyn made the Underground community waves because the MV "JUMP" was invested "hugely" internationally but still did not forget about Vietnamese identity.

SMO has a strong rap style and focuses on lyrics. He always tries to avoid using excessive language in his music. This is in line with the language rules in "Rap Viet" season 3.

Coming to "Rap Viet", SMO believes that this year the program will have an upgrade and require higher competition. He thinks that all the contestants were well prepared and spent a lot of time practicing. Therefore, SMO told himself to focus and work harder to achieve success in the competition.

Talking about the reason for enrolling at the show, the rapper said: "I have wanted to join Rap Viet since I heard about the format of the program. But unfortunately due to some personal reasons, I was not able to participate in the previous 2 seasons. I promised myself that if Rap Viet is organized this year, I will have to participate. And now I'm glad to be here."

In the Conquest round, SMO was in the final group of contestants of "Rap Viet" season 3. Meanwhile, most of the 4 coaches are close to completing their candidate squad and Andree Right Hand alone has the Golden Hat. This, made many fans quite worried for the guy because the ticket to go on was only "counted on the fingers". SMO chose to perform "Let's Fly" (original song: This Earth Is Ours), in the opening theme of BGK, the coach and the audience were deceived by him.

However, by the time the rapper rapped, they were bursting with unexpected emotions, Andree could not wait to press him first, Thai coach VG, B Ray and BigDaddy also followed. Notably, SMO received 95% of the audience's votes at the studio.

The competition between the 4 coaches began to break out, Thai VG – the eldest brother in the Rap industry gave SMO recruitment: "I feel that your style is very prickly, strong and the energy in you is also very good, so I see you and I get along." It was surprising when SMO said that he was a fan of Thai VG and had listened to the music of his seniors since childhood, it can be said that without Mr. Thai there would be no SMO of the present.

As soon as the rapper shared, the audience was sure that he would be brought to coach Thai VG's team. It's not that easy, coach Andree still has the Power Hat. In particular, B Ray is quite a close friend and has worked with SMO before. As for BigDaddy, there are sincere, convincing words that everyone who hears it must fall in love. As a result, the judges decided SMO to join the Thai VG team but was robbed by Andree of the Golden Hat.

After joining coach Andree Right Hand's team, SMO showed a strong development in his musical thinking. The rapper from team 95G brought to the 2nd round of Rap Viet season 3 the collab "Ne" with his cousin Richie D.ICY with praise from both professionals and mass audiences.

Right from the appearance, SMO showed a different "glossy". Also from here, the rapper developed a product that is bold in satirical colors, playful and does not carry the "heavy" energy like the period of activity in the underground world. One viewer commented, "This song is better than SMO's track 1. This frame with flow is perfect for playing trap on no melody type beat with thick bass." Many people agree with this view.

Coach Thai VG also constantly complimented with the performance: "I feel that this song is very exciting and the two of us look like a group instead of playing together, this song is very good and I think it will be very explosive after the practice is aired!"

In the end, the guy took home his first win, entering the Breakthrough round with his coach, through the judges' decision. SMO's cousin is determined not to leave his brother alone with a "comeback" at Andree's chosen "8 bar".

In the near future, SMO will have to face 3 candidates of the remaining teams: 24k Right (team B Ray), Phap Kieu (team BigDaddy) and Toi (team Thai VG), they are all "monsters" with rapping ability not inferior to him to win the right to participate in the final. Thus, if favorable, SMO will have a chance to move closer to the championship of the program this season.

Up to this point, the final stage of "Rap Viet" season 3 has received the first players: Liu Grace, Mikelodic and Tez. When the remaining groups are over, the judges will consider the 3 eliminated contestants to compete with the 6 winners of each group.
