Rhyder is 'bitter' about Quang Hung's glory, afraid to go home for Tet for 1 reason?

Coming from the same cast and having a successful career, Rhyder and Quang Hung's opposite ways of celebrating Tet have attracted attention. While the 'Thai darling' is busy dominating Wave 2025, Rhyder revealed that he doesn't dare to go home.

On the eve of Lunar New Year 2025, rapper Rhyder - runner-up of 'Anh trai say hi' shared with us about his plans for the new year and looked back on his musical journey.

After a busy year, rarely being able to go home to enjoy a meal cooked by his mother, rapper Rhyder (Nguyen Quang Anh) decided to return to his hometown Thanh Hoa to celebrate Tet early to make up for the missed moments with his family. Looking back on 2024, Rhyder considers the mini-show Secret Project to be the most memorable and is touched by the love of the audience. The runner-up title of Say Hi Brother is also very special to him.

When asked about his special memories of Tet, Rhyder confided that there was a time when he did not dare to return home for Tet because he felt he had nothing in hand and had not achieved anything after The Voice Kids, which made him feel insecure and disappointed in himself. "I felt like I had not achieved anything worthy and was disappointed in myself. That feeling is something I will never forget," Rhyder emotionally shared.

Recalling the feeling of sadness and disappointment during his first time celebrating Tet away from home, the owner of the hit "Dan choi sao phai khoc" wanted to immediately return home to reunite and share the joy of 2024 with his family. His mother and siblings are the people he always wants to see the most during Tet. Because he is busy making music and performing all year round, Rhyder is excited about Tet activities and dishes, especially fried banh chung. According to him, Tet 2025 will only revolve around family.

Regarding the thing he is most grateful for in the past year, the rapper born in 2001 admitted that it is difficult to choose just one thing. He is grateful for always trying and giving his all to his passion for music. Being on stage and feeling the love from the audience is a great honor. These things give Rhyder the motivation to stay steadfast on the path he has chosen.

Entering 2025, Rhyder promises to continue to devote himself to music, creating quality products. In particular, he focuses on the goal of releasing his debut album - a project that has been invested in with passion and is expected to receive public reception.

Starting out as the champion of The Voice Kids 2013, Rhyder has not really shined after the competition. In 2018, he released the song Anh quen voi co don, changing his stage name to Quang Anh Rhyder. When he joined Rap Viet 2023, on the team of coach Andree Right Hand, Rhyder's performances all attracted attention and had high views.

On the other hand, Quang Hung also had a less than ideal starting point in the past. Quang Hung MasterD once asked to sing for free and slept in the park because he had no mone.y to rent a room when he first came to Ho Chi Minh City to start his career.

At a time when the domestic music market was booming with young faces breaking out, Quang Hung MasterD was remembered for his easy-to-listen, easy-to-remember music, mixed with a bit of mischief. In Anh trai say hi - a popular music show last year, the singer was chosen to be part of the all-round music group Best 5, alongside Hieu Thu Hai, Ryhder, Isaac, and Duc Phuc.

Before that, although he had been in the music industry for nearly 10 years and had been famous in Thailand for 5 years, Quang Hung MasterD was a relatively unknown name in the country. The Hue native went through many difficult times but never had any intention of giving up music.

At the ag.e of 28, Quang Hung MasterD no longer has financial pressure. Before, he only had two or three shows per month, now he "runs" up to 20 shows.

Once nicknamed "stepchild" because he was famous in Thailand but had no fans in his country, he now has a fanclub with more than 80,000 members on Facebook. Each offline event of the singer attracts thousands of fans. After becoming famous, he set a goal of releasing an album and holding his own concert. "I'm most afraid of stereotypes in music, so I always want to renew myself every day," said Quang Hung MasterD.

Recently, an excerpt of a short comedy by Wave 25, titled Family Secrets, with the participation of Quang Hung MasterD, received 15,000 likes, 600 comments and 262 shares. For the first time performing situational comedy, without knowing the script in advance, in the excerpt, Quang Hung MasterD demonstrated his ability to improvise on stage with "hard to handle" pieces from Le Duong Bao Lam, Thuy Tien, NEGAV, Le Giang, Vo Tan Phat.
