Sharing about the incident, according to lawyer Nguyen Van Hau, the company and the artist both violated the law according to the provisions of Articles 37 and 38 of the Law on Consumer Protection 2023. Regarding the time, location and method of providing the product, it is not in accordance with the requirements of the consumer, so the consumer has the right to unilaterally terminate the contract, the company and the artist must comply with the law to pay the consumer, and compensate the consumer if causing damage.

Lawyer Nguyen Van Hau added that in cases where there are signs of fraud and property appropriation, the penalty could be non-custodial reform for 3 years or imprisonment from 6 months to 20 years or life imprisonment depending on the nature and severity. This artist could be banned from performing, banned from practicing a certain job for 1-5 years and all illegal profits from the violation of the law could be confiscated.
