Despite being an artist for many years, Duyen Quynh still maintains a private lifestyle, avoiding noise in her personal life. Duyen Quynh (born 1990, Buon Ma Thuot) was born into a family where no one pursued art. She grew up in poverty both materially and emotionally. Her parents divorced when Duyen Quynh was in 3rd grade, her brother lived with her father, and she, her older sister and younger brother lived with their mother.

Circumstances have trained Duyen Quynh to be independent from a very early age. During her school years, she studied and worked at the same time, taking care of her living expenses, supporting her family and paying for her mother’s medicine for cancer. After her mother passed away, Duyen Quynh became closer to her father.

"In my hometown, people don't trust this profession, partly because they are afraid that I, a girl from the city, will get into trouble. To enter the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, I had to fight with my family. Every month, my mother gave me a sum of money to pay for my tuition. I had to take on many extra jobs such as: distributing flyers, performing for the public, singing at weddings... to earn more income to cover living expenses.

After graduating, I joined the choir at the conservatory, then joined the backing group. There was a period when I thought about quitting the profession because of financial difficulties, the income from singing was not enough to live on.

More than anyone else, I am aware that I have a limited singing voice. I spend time following my friends and siblings, learning from their experiences to draw lessons, and gradually my skills improve. Maybe thanks to God's grace, I met noble people, received help and guidance" - Duyen Quynh confided.

After graduating from the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, Duyen Quynh worked at the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO), participating in choir formation, forming a backing vocal group and starting to write music. However, it took her 10 years to become known to the audience when she won the 2019 Love Storyteller contest.

This victory marked a turning point in Duyen Quynh’s career. Her name and voice gradually became widely known to the audience. She received many invitations to perform, participate in dubbing films, and try her hand at many different roles.

In 2022, she continued to assert herself with the title of Shining Stars Double Champion. At the same time, Duyen Quynh released many music products with fresher colors. Although the effect has not really exploded, this is a signal that the female singer is constantly exploring and innovating to break through on her artistic journey.
