The vegetable candy product of CER Group (Chi Em Rot) caused controversy when it was promoted with statements such as "one candy is equal to a bunch of vegetables" or "eating 2-3 candy is enough fiber per day".

Responding to a reporter's question on the afternoon of March 14 about the statement "a candy replaces a plate of vegetables", Quang Linh Vlogs affirmed that he never claimed that this product could replace green vegetables, but only considered it a nutritional supplement from vegetables.

"When we eat vegetables with KERA candy, it will supplement nutrition for the body, it cannot replace vegetables. I have never said that this product can replace vegetables on social networks," Quang Linh Vlogs said.

Regarding the source of raw materials for KERA candy production at Asia Life Factory, Mr. Le Tuan Linh - legal representative of CER Group, said: "Input materials are strictly controlled and purchased from cultivation facilities in Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Binh Thuan. Vegetables and fruits used in production have clear origins and guaranteed quality. In the near future, the factory also plans to expand the raw material area to serve production."

During the meeting, Quang Linh Vlogs apologized and said that he would stop selling livestreams for a long time to return to Africa. "I apologize to all customers for using the wrong terminology and conveying unclear information. Kera mainly supplements nutrition from green vegetables, because the main ingredient of the product is from vegetables. I apologize to customers as well as the public for my statements in the past that have caused many misunderstandings on social networks," Quang Linh Vlogs said.

Hang Du Muc also cried and admitted her mistakes in the process of speaking and introducing products such as Kera candy or bird's nest. She affirmed that everything she shared on livestream was based on information provided by the factory. The TikToker also expressed that she had many shortcomings, "being too young, success came too quickly, so it could lead to going astray".

Miss Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien was also "called out" by the community for her involvement in advertising the above vegetable candy. After that, this beauty also apologized on her personal page. She said she advertised the product because she herself cannot eat vegetables and had been using it for several months. All the information she shared was based on the factory's supply.

Accordingly, the incident began to attract attention when on March 5, an online account published the test results of Kera vegetable candy, showing that each piece contained only 0.017 grams of fiber, far below the daily requirement. According to calculations, to supplement enough fiber, users would have to consume dozens of candies, leading to the risk of consuming too much sugar. Meanwhile, the Kera brand published significantly different test results, sparking controversy over the transparency of the data.

The brand announced the Inulin fiber content (a type of soluble fiber) in the vegetable candy as 186mg/tablet. 100 grams contains 0.935% fiber from vegetables and fruits. The total fiber content from vegetable powder and Inulin in each tablet is more than 200mg.

Up to now, the representative of Chi Em Rot said that they have sold more than 100,000 boxes of Kera vegetable candy and reaffirmed that 100% of the company's products are manufactured in Vietnam. Regarding the suspicion that Kera vegetable candy products are outsourced and raw materials are imported from China, the representative of Chi Em Rot Group reaffirmed that 100% of the company's products are manufactured at the Asia Life factory. Regarding the assessment that the Kera vegetable candy product is listed at 150,000 VND/product as too high compared to the quality, the representative of the unit said that the above price is appropriate.
