American Idol winner sings at Trump's inauguration, suffers embarrassing sound problem?

Carrie Underwood recently performed America the Beautiful at the Capitol in Washington, DC, after Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States. However, unfortunately, there was a sound problem.

Specifically, after being introduced, the American Idol champion entered the hall in a light gray sleeveless one-piece dress.

President Donald Trump and many politicians and guests applauded, but the atmosphere quickly fell into an unusual silence. Everyone waited for the prelude to play, but nothing happened.

After more than a minute of waiting, Underwood broke the awkward situation by calling out: "If you know the lyrics, please help me." Then the blonde beauty's powerful voice rang out.

The crowd quickly joined in to support the 8X female singer. Former President Joe Biden and Bill Clinton were seen singing along to the patriotic song.

Additionally, the Armed Forces Choir and the U.S. Naval Academy Song Club were scheduled to provide backup vocals for Underwood.

Ending the impressive performance without musical accompaniment, Underwood shook hands with President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance before leaving.

On NBC, announcer Savannah Guthrie commented: "We want to address an unplanned part of the ceremony that happened a few minutes ago. There was a pause right before Carrie Underwood was supposed to sing. It looked like there was some issue with the backing band that was performing with her. Then she sang a cappella spontaneously with a few other scattered vocals."

American media praised the 42-year-old beauty's calm and professional handling of the situation.

American netizens also gave Underwood high praise: "Today, I appreciate Carrie Underwood even more. She performed perfectly under the pressure of a sound problem. Carrie Underwood is one of several artists chosen to perform at the inauguration of US President Donald Trump. In addition to her, Lee Greenwood sang God Bless the USA and opera singer Christopher Macchio sang the national anthem.

On January 13, Underwood announced that he would be performing at America's most important political event: "I love our country and am honored to be invited to sing at the inauguration, to be a small part of this historic event. I humbly respond to the call at a time when we must all come together and look toward the future."

Carrie Underwood grew up in Oklahoma, USA, on her family's farm in Checotah. She began singing as a chil.d, first in church and then in school plays and talent shows.

"I had a very happy childhood with the simple things that every kid loves to do," Underwood shared on his personal website. "Growing up in the countryside, I loved to roam the dirt roads, climb trees, catch little creatures and of course, sing."
