Liam Payne died mysteriously, police discovered something strange in the living room

Liam Payne was found dead outside a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. MTV Latin America wrote on social media: "We are deeply saddened and pray for his family and loved ones to be strong and safe."

Local news channel Todo Noticias TV interviewed Hernan Palazzo, a man who works near the hotel in the Palermo neighborhood. He said: "The neighborhood was very chaotic... There were a lot of police and some fans. It was sad."

At the scene, the living room was in chaos with broken objects and a smashed TV screen.

More disturbing details were discovered from the room's desk, including a box of Dove soap, matches, candle residue, foil and a powdery substance believed to be illegal. A lighter and a burned soda can lid were also discovered in the debris, painting a picture of chaos.

In the room's bathtub, remnants of candles and foil were found, along with burn marks and stains indicating a chaotic atmosphere.

Police had previously received a 911 call reporting "an aggressive male who may be under the influence of drugs and alcohol." The hotel also said that before his death, Liam had been acting strangely in the hotel lobby, smashing his laptop and being carried back to his room by staff.

At the scene, police and medical staff from SAME (Buenos Aires' public emergency medical services system) confirmed that Liam Layne had died at around 5:11 p.m. local time. Crescenti - head of SAME said that Liam Payne's injuries were so serious that "there was no possibility of recovery".

Liam Payne struggled with issues involving his ex-girlfriend Maya Henry in the months before his sudden departure.

A source familiar with the matter told People that Payne is "extremely overwhelmed by all the legal issues" surrounding Henry.

Maya Henry, 23, ended her relationship with the former One Direction singer last week after she accused him of contacting her too many times, according to the Daily Mail. The couple were once engaged before calling it quits in 2022. Henry, who was born in Texas, is the author of the novel Looking Forward.
