Recently, the problem of secretly filming movies in theaters and posting them on social media is still going on out of control, causing pain not only in the movie-loving community but also in the production crew. Last year, Vu Ngoc Dang had to express his anger when many viewers, without thinking, secretly filmed almost the entire movie and shared it on social media.

This year, another work by director Vu also continued to suffer from a similar "calamity". Accordingly, after only 10 days of being released, "The Bride of a Rich Family" starring Uyen An has been spread across all "fronts", negatively affecting the revenue and reputation of the film crew.

"This has a huge impact on my spirit, because my child is being "shown off" without the right standards, format, and is too ugly. Calls for conscious and civilized movie viewing have almost no effect," Vu Ngoc Dang confided.

Will Vu - producer of Co Dau Hao Mon shared: "As a producer for over 5 years, I feel disappointed because the efforts of a collective are not respected and protected when the film has not even been released for 1 week.

Currently, my team and I are working with a number of copyright protection units and media units to end this problem with the film project Co Dau Hao Mon. I hope everyone will spread the film in a more civilized and conscious form instead of just satisfying personal interests."

"The Bride of a Rich Family" was released to the audience on the occasion of October 20th, the content is about a family determined to change their life by marrying their daughter into the upper class. The film received public attention partly thanks to the name of director Vu Ngoc Dang and the quality cast such as: Thu Trang, Kieu Minh Tuan, Le Giang, Uyen An, Samuel An, with the humorous and interesting theme of being a daughter-in-law of a rich family.

Despite the "misfortune" of being secretly filmed, as of 6pm on October 22, "The Bride of a Rich Family" is still sitting at the top of the Vietnamese box office, surpassing the 2 billion VND mark at the box office. According to Box Office Vietnam, this work has earned more than 27 billion VND in just 3 days of the weekend, bringing the total revenue in the first week of release to more than 41 billion VND - an extremely positive number. And it is also expected to continue to "do well" in the coming days thanks to its irresistible appeal.

In fact, this is not the first time that 1 or 2 film projects have had their intellectual property rights violated in Vietnam. In the era of strong social media development and becoming the fastest information delivery tool, the problem of secret filming has become too normal for a part of the audience.

This lack of awareness has been strongly condemned many times, even sanctioned and fined by producers and filmmakers, but so far there have been no significant changes. It is clear that before screening, theaters always broadcast videos about the rules for watching, including a bullet point prohibiting filming and livestreaming during the screening time.

In case of violation, the staff has the right to ask the audience to leave the theater. Legally, according to Article 28 of the Intellectual Property Law, acts of copying a work without permission from the author or copyright owner (except for cases of self-copying a copy for the purpose of scientific research, personal teaching and copying a work to store in a library for research purposes) are copyright infringement.

However, the reality shows that the problem of secretly filming movies in theaters still exists openly. Sometimes, violators even have extreme and defiant attitudes when asked to remove illegally filmed clips.
