Pham Hy said, when he first went to Saigon to study theater in his hometown, he was very self-conscious about his appearance because "at that time, I was thin, the blackest in class and the shortest in class". The reason Pham Hy entered the acting industry was simply because he found himself very fond of art and gifted. During his high school years, he enthusiastically participated in the arts at school from MC to singing.

However, just entering the school with wet feet, Pham Hy received the first shock of his life when his teachers advised him to stop studying art. "At that time, I was so ugly that my teachers personally suggested that I quit and don't study art anymore because this profession needs both sound and color," Pham Hy said.

Even though I knew that my teachers loved me and were afraid that I would lose time and money, I still couldn't do my job, so I advised so, but Pham Hy lost her mood. Because in the whole family, Pham Hy was the first to go to university.

In the first year, Pham Hy went to school with psychology, after finishing school, it is not necessary to become an actor, can be a screenwriter or any other department, as long as it is related to art. Or with a degree, he will return to his hometown and apply for a job at a local television station as an editor.

However, in the second and third years, Pham Hy was caught up in real acting. So, besides trying to practice every day, Pham Hy often goes to the theater to see plays. He watched so much that, in some books, he watched dozens of times and memorized the dialogues of all the characters.

Whenever she is discouraged, Pham Hy remembers her idols in the profession, artist Thanh Loc and artist Bach Long. They are small but full of talent. Looking at his predecessors, Pham Hy seemed to be fueled by fire, trying to cultivate, learn and even comfort himself.

On the night of the graduation exam, Pham Hy boldly invited her mother from her hometown to watch. After finishing the makeup, he went out and said to his mother: "For the past 3 years, I have studied acting, this is the result after 3 years of studying. You just sit down and watch, if you like, I will let you follow the profession. And if you finish watching it, If you see that I can't afford it, then I can count on you later."

Fortunately, in the graduation play "the last passion", Pham Hy played the main role. He was so close that he was given dozens of flower bouquets, had to call a taxi to take him home.

On the way back to the inn, the mother and daughter did not say a word to each other, but that night, his mother took the flower bouquet, removed the card on it, and smiled. She called her husband "Hy is an actor". At that time, he knew that his parents did not forbid him to study acting, it was just because he was not confident so he kept it a secret.

Dad wants to buy a ring, has no money to return it: "I'm heartbroken"

Pham Hy graduated from the acting department with an excellent degree. Thought this would be a beautiful luggage for him to enter a favorable career, but he did not expect to be unemployed for up to 2 years.

After graduating, Pham Hy stayed in Saigon and looked for opportunities by participating in many casting sessions, but just seeing him, the crew said it was not suitable for the role and did not need to be cast. Although very discouraged, but because she was too passionate about acting, Pham Hy still tried to hold on.

In the first 2 years, Pham Hy mainly performed propaganda plays for units of wards and communes with a salary of 400,000 VND and 500,000 VND and performed coffee plays with a salary of 70,000 VND. That income is of course not enough to live on, so Pham Hy still has to receive money from his parents.

Remembering those difficult days, Pham Hy said: "I used to go to a show in Tay Ninh at 4 or 5 am. I was invited to be happy, so I went to work without asking the price. After I finished, they paid 100,000, I I still have fun. I also told, next time there's a show, just call me, no matter how far I go. Maybe it's because I'm passionate about the job and so enthusiastic, so the brothers and sisters all call back."

Because of his precarious life, graduation, but still having to rely on the money his parents send him every week, Pham Hy boldly promised that if he couldn't live with his job at the age of 25, he would go back to his hometown and do all his father's jobs. mom wants.

At that time, Pham Hy was assigned to play a student role with a salary of 30 million VND. Because of his slightly rounded appearance compared to the character, he had to lose weight quickly in 2 weeks. He eagerly accepted the role and confidently promised his mother, receiving the salary, that he would buy her a set of 7 simens.

Because losing weight is not scientific, Pham Hy has a weak body, faints when going to work. However, the promise to her mother was still fulfilled and it was an unforgettable memory.

"That New Year, I went home, my mother said, would you go down to the city to play. She wanted to buy gold and was very much looking forward to her money. The simen set was 18, 19 million, she asked if there was enough money. I said, after buying, I still have about 6, 7 million left.

Currently, in addition to acting, Pham Hy is also engaged in scriptwriting and doing business to improve finances. In the past, Pham Hy received many invitations to collaborate on online sales, but he refused.
