The actress sadly shared: "I don't justify myself. But it's time for me not to be selfish anymore, I have to take care of my family. How many years have I worked, my hair is still the same, my nails are still the same. All my youth, I couldn't go to concerts, I couldn't go with my family because I had to perform on weekends, to the point where my son said, "I won't work like mom in the future, because I don't have time for my family and children.” I think I'm selfish, just live for myself, role after role, but my children grow up and have needs, I have to rush out to find rice".

Thanh Thuy affirmed that when she looked back on that decision, she felt that she was right, not wrong, but she still regretted it. She confided: "Looking back at that golden age now, I told Mr. Loc that I was ready to go back to work. I told Hong Van to gather, but it was very difficult. There had to be a huge revolution, there had to be people. Someone or some luck might pull people together just to do a few performances, pack it up as a souvenir. But it's very difficult to have a stage like that." The female artist added that there was a time when she wanted to quit her job because she was disappointed with herself.

However, the actress's husband was determined not to let the actress return to the stage, forcing her to choose between family and passion.
