Recently, he has also made Vietnamese fashion famous, as the designer of the evening gown for the new Miss Grand International 2024. Accordingly, on the evening of October 25, Rachel Gupta surpassed 68 contestants to be crowned Miss Grand International 2024 held in Bangkok, Thailand. In the evening gown competition and then being named the highest position, the Indian beauty was praised for shining like a goddess with a dress designed by designer Thuong Gia Ky.

The mermaid-shaped dress hugs the body, highlighting Rachel Gupta's bare shoulders and hourglass curves. According to Thuong Gia Ky, the new beauty queen's team contacted him through the website to order two designs for the two important competition nights: the semi-finals and the finals. 'They shared that they had seen my designs before and really liked them,' Thuong Gia Ky said.

The dress was 'tailor-made' for the Indian beauty, inspired by birds, symbolizing freedom and peace. The dress has two main colors, blue and yellow, the traditional colors of Miss Grand International.

The designer used mesh material to attach thousands of crystal and sapphire stones into an ombre strip, along with feather attachment techniques, which took thousands of hours to complete. Despite the many cuts, the outfit was calculated to show off Rachel Gupta's figure without being unsightly. According to designer Thuong Gia Ky, the most difficult part when he made the dress was the color transition technique as well as the processing and selection of suitable stones for the dress.

Compared to the designer's drawing, the new Miss Grand International was praised for shining no less. On stage, the lighting effects made the stone and feather embellishments more sparkling and impressive.

In addition to the coronation evening gown, designer Thuong Gia Ky also designed a dress for Rachel Gupta to perform in the semi-finals, in a feminine pink color, highlighting the sweet beauty of the Indian beauty. The Vietnamese fashion house said that pink is also the new beauty queen's favorite color.

Sharing right after the crowning moment of Miss Grand International 2024, designer Thuong Gia Ky (29 years old), a former student of Saigon International Film School SIFS, said he felt extremely happy when he heard that Indian girl - Rachel Gupta won this noble crown. "On a special occasion, the new beauty queen's manager came to my personal page to offer to buy two designs for the two most important competition nights because they had seen and consulted the previous designs. We completed two evening gowns in more than 30 days, in time to send them to Thailand for the beauty queen to wear," Thuong Gia Ky said.

"The Indian beauty queen is an extremely beautiful girl. You attract all eyes. Not only that, you are also very gentle, making everyone feel comfortable when interacting with you. In addition, during the process of working, I also learned that you are a vegetarian. Hearing that, I really admire and am inspired by you," Ky said.
