Recently, on the homepage of Miss Grand International (MGI), an official announcement was made about stripping the title of 2nd Runner-up of the Myanmar representative. In a post on the official fanpage, the reason was revealed to be due to the Myanmar representative's misconduct.

"OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: MGI has decided to strip the title of 2nd Runner-up of Miss Grand Myanmar 2024, Ms. Thae Su Nyein, due to inappropriate behavior and actions, violating many regulations. This announcement is for your reference," the original post of MGI organization.

Earlier on the afternoon of October 27, Thae Su Nyein livestreamed on her personal page explaining why she left right after winning second runner-up in the final. The 18-year-old beauty announced that she had returned the crown because she felt "we did not receive what we deserved for the effort we put in."
