Artist Thanh Loc, the stage wizard who makes netizens laugh and cry, is he still being fooled in his old age?

Standing among the veteran actors of the 7th art, but the most recent role in the movie Ma Da of Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc is involved in a series of consecutive dramas because the producer "cut" scenes mercilessly.

On the evening of August 17, artist Thanh Loc spoke out after producer Nhat Trung posted about cutting out many scenes of him and singer Cam Ly in the movie Ma da.

"I don't regret the effort, I just regret the time wasted. So, don't take the time to listen to and receive apologies. It's too late. It's better to spend that time on better relationships," artist Thanh Loc shared on his personal page.

On the same day, producer Nhat Trung said that during post-production, the Ma da crew was forced to remove many scenes with Thanh Loc and Cam Ly. This led to the roles of the two artists being reduced in length compared to the original plans.

The producer apologized to artists Thanh Loc and Cam Ly. The crew admitted their mistake for not notifying in writing that Thanh Loc and Cam Ly's appearance time in Ma da was cut. Regarding the handling, Nhat Trung said he had met and talked with artists Thanh Loc and Cam Ly. The crew tried to find a solution that satisfied all parties.

"I take responsibility for myself and apologize to the audience. I affirm that the film's adjustments were all decisions made by the production team and were not related to or influenced by any other individual or organization," Nhat Trung said.

The producer shared that he initially invited Cam Ly to play a supporting role and sing the film's theme song. The film crew planned to use Cam Ly's footage in the film for the film's music video.

"We planned to use the images in the MV in the film, so we filmed quite a lot. Then, we cut some of it due to editing the final film. We hope the audience understands and waits for singer Cam Ly's MV," Nhat Trung shared.

Producer Nhat Trung's post later received backlash. On some film forums, audiences said that the crew was taking advantage of the appearance of artist Thanh Loc and singer Cam Ly, these are big names, with enough weight to attract audiences to the theater.

However, in reality, artist Thanh Loc and singer Cam Ly only appeared very briefly. Thanh Loc appeared for 5 minutes, while Cam Ly acted a little longer than the extras. A reader commented: "Personally, I do not idolize these two artists, but I respect them very much, especially artist Thanh Loc.

Previously, at the film's wrap party in Ho Chi Minh City, artist Thanh Loc shared about the arduous filming journey in Nam Can (Ca Mau). He and the actors had to soak in water and mud for many days. However, the members of the film crew all tried their best to overcome it with the desire to complete the project in the best way possible.

However, when it was released, artist Thanh Loc’s screen time was quite limited, leaving the audience disappointed. At the premiere of Ma da in Ho Chi Minh City, artist Thanh Loc and singer Cam Ly were also absent.

Thanh Loc was born in 1961 in a family with an artistic tradition. His father is People's Artist Thanh Ton, his mother is opera artist Huynh Mai. His two older siblings, artists Bach Long and Bach Le, were also famous cai luong artists of their time. Since the age of 8, Thanh Loc has been familiar with the stage. To date, he has been active in the arts for nearly 40 years with nearly 700 large and small roles. After each breakup, Thanh Loc chose to close the door and cry alone. He confided: "I used to close the door and cry like a child, cry out loud and then see my eyes more beautiful, my tears make my eyes sparkle more. In love, if we love with our heads, have to calculate what is beneficial for us, then we are dry people, that is, we only like to receive and not give."

Having gone through many relationships, at the age of over 60, Thanh Loc is still single, without a wife or children. Regarding the reason for not getting married, the male artist shared: "I have no interest in getting married, because I don't want to make anyone suffer. At this age, getting married makes people suffer. If you have children, you will make your children suffer even more. Well, just do it, put your worries aside and enjoy life."

Although living alone, Thanh Loc is not sad, but satisfied with his current life. He considers loneliness a "God-given illness", helping him have his own space and find inspiration for artistic creation.
