Nam Em fined 37.5 million, listless at the Department of Information and Communications after a series of online statements

On March 1, the HCMC Department of Information and Communications (ICT) in collaboration with the Department of Cyber Security and High-tech Crime Prevention of Ho Chi Minh City Police invited Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em (Nam Em) to work on providing information on social media accounts.

Previously, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em continuously held livestreams on social media accounts. In livestreams that recall noisy romances in the past, not afraid to reveal hidden corners of showbiz... The controversial statements of Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em have caused noise on social networks and many negative information in recent years.

Based on the above acts, the Department of Information and Communications decided to sanction administrative violations against Nam Em for the act of providing information that caused confusion among the people and the act of providing information insulting national celebrities and heroes without reaching the level of criminal prosecution. The total amount of administrative sanctions is VND 37.5 million.

HCMC Department of Information and Communications HCMC also recommends that if Nam Em re-commits administrative violations despite being previously asked to terminate, he will be considered for aggravating circumstances. At the same time, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications will coordinate with authorities to apply preventive measures according to regulations.

Previously, the Department of Information and Communications (Information and Communications) of Ho Chi Minh City HCMC invited Hoa Khoi and singer Nam Em to work on providing information on social media accounts. However, on the way to the Department of Information and Communications, Nam Em showed signs of unstable health and had to be admitted to the emergency hospital.

At the meeting, Mr. Bui Huu Cuong, fiancé and manager of Hoa Khoi, singer Nam Em, presented the reason why Nam Em could not come to work by invitation. He also pledged that, when his health recovers, Nam Em will go to work with the authorities.

At the meeting, singer Nam Em also provided documents clearly showing that Nam Em had to be emergency at a hospital in Binh Thanh district.

The Department of Information and Communications recommends that Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em, if she re-offends and continues to commit administrative violations despite requesting to stop such acts, aggravating circumstances will be considered according to regulations. At the same time, the Department of Information and Communications will coordinate with authorities to apply preventive measures in accordance with law.

In addition, the Department of Information and Communications also requested Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em to strictly comply with the provisions of Decision 874/QD-BTTTT dated 17-6-2021 of the Ministry of Information and Communications on the promulgation of the code of conduct on social networks and Decision 3196/QD-BVHTTDL dated 13-12-2021 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the promulgation of a Code of Conduct of persons working in the field of arts.
