On September 13, the student community of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Hanoi National University was upset by the uncivilized behavior of MC - lecturer Trinh Le Anh. A female student today, because of a sad family situation, took the initiative to send an email asking for permission to be absent from school for a day.

However, instead of empathizing with the student's story, MC Trinh Le Anh posted the story on social networks with a sarcastic status line: "Opening online, when students are sad! You don't need to apologize because it's your right to be absent from school for 20% of the time allowed! But will leaving school make you less sad, is something you need to consider and be stronger, okay!".

Immediately, this statement received many negative comments from the audience. Many people believe that MC Le Anh is not only a teacher but also a familiar face in public. He often says nice words on television, but he forgets how to treat the other person with respect. In this story, the female student sent an email asking for absence from school with a valid reason. In fact, each student can miss no more than 20% of the class so she doesn't deserve to be ridiculed like this. The fact that MC Le Anh posted personal information of students on the Facebook page was also an act of outrage.

Below the article, many students attacked MC Le Anh, forcing the male lecturer to delete the post.

"Teacher! I'm really upset with the way you behave! She has the right to leave within 20% but she is very kind and polite when she writes you an email to ask for a leave of absence due to family problems. If you put the case that his family has a funeral (I think 98% of them are), you will probably be able to attend? Sir, can you calmly go to class to teach? Maybe I should feel lucky because I studied Humanities but didn't study teachers!!!".

"Just an email asking for leave is very polite and understandable, but it has been brought out for discussion by so many people. Poor student, I hope you don't read this article!".

"I think you should remove this post, this student must have a lot of respect and desire to learn from you, so while there is a sad family situation, I still think of an email asking for leave. Just thinking about it makes her need it. I appreciate it, sir. If I let her read this, it's really a pity!".

In the afternoon of the same day, MC Trinh Le Anh officially apologized for his sensitive statement. However, this move still did not help him salvage his image.

Le Anh wrote: I apologize to my students. I hope they are stronger, but I am not calm enough to share with you. Sorry fb friends who had to receive negative emotions from what Le Anh wrote this morning without carefully considering it. Thank you, I hope you'll forgive me. I emailed him apologizing.

MC Trinh Le Anh was born on December 19, 1977 and is currently Vice Dean of Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
