She shared: "I always have psychological struggles when I feel like people are so cold these days. People live more closed lives, spiritual values are no longer given much attention."
From the perspective of an artist, Huynh Lap said the development of social networks has created many online entertainment services. This threatens traditional art forms, including drama. However, the actor expressed optimism when some of the plays he participated in recently were almost "sold out".
"Somewhere, traditional values are still appreciated. Seeing that young people are active and like to experience new things, they are also very interested in traditional arts. That taught me a lesson, don't judge a problem or a certain generation based on just one aspect," Huynh Lap shared.
Revealing the reason for sticking with the theater, Huynh Lap said this is a place for him to "practice" his craft effectively. He confided to Ly Nha Ky: "When performing a crying scene, just looking down at the stage and seeing a stream of tears from the audience makes me feel very happy. It feels very uplifting because then I know that I have conveyed emotions. and the character's spirit to the audience".
Ly Nha Ky also admitted that acting is many times more difficult than acting. The female chairwoman said humorously: "When I was filming, before I wanted to cry, I went out and prepared my mood. Or I would go in and be scolded by the director. I was too upset to cry. If I couldn't act, I would go out and wait until I cried. If it's okay, then re-perform. In case an actor forgets a line, just cut it and re-perform. As for stage acting, you have to hit it right away."
At the program, Huynh Lap was surprised when he was forced to drop out of school because he was engrossed in making art and did not go to class. He shared: "Before that, I had studied directing for 3 years. During the Laughing Across Vietnam competition, I thought too much. One day, I received a letter to drop out of school because I did not complete the number of classes. So I stopped studying until now."
Although he has no connection with formal education, the star of the web series A stick of incense is not pessimistic. He accumulates knowledge and learns experience from his seniors and colleagues through each project.
Besides making art, Huynh Lap said he is also very interested in social activities. One of the activities he and his group of friends have maintained for many years is helping sanitation workers clean the streets on New Year's Eve in Long Xuyen (An Giang).
