The incident that has shaken the whole network in the past few days is the heartbreaking story that occurred in Phu Tho, the Phong Chau bridge across the Red River suddenly collapsed, making many people unable to escape. Everyone was afraid of the returnee's story.

On the afternoon of September 9, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong and Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee Bui Van Quang went to the Health Center of Tam Nong district (Phu Tho province) to visit and encourage the victims of the Phong Chau bridge incident.

Reporting to the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, the leader of Tam Nong District Health Center said that the unit is treating 3 people in the Phong Chau bridge case. Currently, his health and spirit are stable. Mr. Tran Quang Phuong asked Tam Nong District Health Center to focus all resources on treating and caring for patients.

After more than 6 hours of the incident, Mr. Phan Truong Son's spirit (residing in Tam Nong district, Phu Tho) has gradually stabilized. Of the 3 injured people being treated at Tam Nong District Medical Center, Mr. Son was the most seriously injured.

Recalling the time of the bridge collapse, his eyes were still scared, Mr. Son said, on the morning of September 9, he went from Tam Nong district to Lam Thao district to deal with work. At about 9:45 a.m., he went home. While going to Phong Chau Bridge, Mr. Son heard the sound of "uynh uynh" but thought it was because a heavy truck was traveling on the bridge.

Before he had time to shape what happened to the bridge, he found himself in the water. "Going into the river, I found myself sinking, so I tried to get to the surface of the water. At that time, even though I came to the surface of the water, I didn't dare to think that I was alive to return because the water was flowing too fast," Mr. Son said, his expression was still scared.

While struggling in the middle of the fast-flowing water, he was lucky to cling to a banana tree. After about 4-5km drifting with the water, he was rescued by people by boat. "When I came to the hospital, I thought I was alive. When I hugged the banana tree drifting along the water, I was very panicked, thinking that I could no longer go back to my family," Mr. Son said with tears in his eyes.

Still not fully recovered after the bridge collapse, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai said, at about 9:50 a.m. on September 9, he and his colleague Bui Quy Trong (residing in Van Xuan commune, Tam Nong district, Phu Tho) went home from work from Lam Thao district.

When he went almost all the way to Phong Chau Bridge, Mr. Hai saw a heavy truck passing by and the bridge shook strongly. "The truck passed for 1-2 seconds, I heard a rumbling sound and then the bridge suddenly collapsed. At this time, I was behind the wheel and Mr. Trong was sitting behind. As soon as I shaped the collapsed bridge, I thought I was done with my life because I didn't know how to swim and the water was flowing very fast," as soon as he finished speaking, Mr. Hai looked at his colleague sitting next to him with red eyes.

"Until now, I am still shaking, I am really lucky to have escaped. When I turned around, the bridge had fallen, on the bridge about 7-10 vehicles were moving through, now I can only pray for everyone to be safe," Mr. Hai recalled.

Recalling the moment on Phong Chau Bridge, Mr. Khanh - the hero who saved people is still shocked. According to witnesses, at that time he was in the house when he saw people shouting. Immediately, he ran out, looking upstream. At this time, the 29-year-old bridge is gone.

Looking out at the turbid flowing water, Khanh saw a lot of large trees and garbage being swept away. For about 7 minutes, the young man continued to see a man trying to cling to the trunk of a tree that was in the middle of the line.

"Everything is incredibly fast. Everyone kept calling for help. At this time, I didn't think much, I only knew how to run to the family's boat and then control the vehicle as fast as possible to try to approach," Mr. Khanh continued.

Due to the large flood and fast flow speed, it was very difficult for the boat to get close to the v.ictim. "The distance from the shore to the rescue location is about 4-500m," Mr. Khanh recalled. Just a few minutes later, this person was put on the boat in a state of extreme panic; people with many serious injuries.
