Leaked message of blackmailer Lee Sun Kyun, suspected of targeting the late actor's wife

On January 3, YouTuber Lee Jin Ho posted messages purportedly from A and the hacker. A claimed that she was blackmailed by the hacker and threatened Lee Sun Kyun, but the police believe that A was just staging the situation. On October 4, the hacker texted A, "If you don't transfer 200 million won (VND3.7 billion) tomorrow, I will inform Lee Sun Kyun's wife and those around me." The hacker obtained Jeon Hye Jin's phone number.

Suspect A himself told Lee Sun Kyun that she got Jeon Hye Jin's phone number after 1 week of research. This coincidence made former reporter Lee Jin Ho realize that A had orchestrated the situation of being blackmailed by hackers.

Previously, according to Chosun, the police had applied for an arrest warrant for A for threatening evidence, demanding money from Lee Sun Kyun. A was summoned to the court for questioning on December 26 but did not appear, nor did he give a specific reason. A went into hiding, and on December 27, the police found her and took her into custody in a police station in Incheon. On the afternoon of Feb. 28, the court will question A before deciding whether to arrest her.

According to Lee Sun Kyun's report, he transferred A 50 million won (VND 939 million) and B 300 million won (VND 5.6 billion). Identities A and B have been announced by 1 number of YouTubers. Accordingly, A's real name is Park So Jeong, born in 1995 and used to work as an actor. The manager of Bar B is Kim Nam Hee, who was born in 1994 and is said to be dating 1 artist under SM Entertainment. This action caused a lot of controversy because some people supported the YouTuber to "do justice", others feared the incident would turn into a "witch hunt".

The two women were acquaintances and lived close to each other's homes. A knew that Lee Sun Kyun had been to Kim's house, had texted the actor, and threatened to make the incident public. Kim accused Lee Sun Kyun of using banned substances five times at her home.

Lee Sun Kyun testified that he had met A four times, saying he used drugs from Kim and thought they were sleeping pills and not banned substances. He never intended to get involved with drugs. The actor has been tested twice, both of which came back negative, meaning that about eight months ago, he did not use banned substances.

The day before his death, Lee Sun Kyun, through his lawyer, asked the police to conduct a polygraph test on both him and Kim. The lawyer argued that the evidence Lee Sun Kyun used banned substances only from one side, provided by Kim, needed to verify the reliability. On the other hand, if Kim's accusations are true, Lee Sun Kyun's samples must come back positive. But in fact, through two tests, the results were negative.

Lee Sun Kyun felt guilty and expected the authorities to check the credibility of Kim's evidence and testimony. The actor also asked the police to summon him in a non-public form.
