At the end of the investigation, on January 6, 2024, the Police Department investigated the Ho Chi Minh City Police. HCMC has issued the conclusion of its investigation into the case, recommending the prosecution of Tran Thi Ngoc Trinh for "disrupting public order" under Article 318 of the Penal Code; propose to prosecute Tran Xuan Dong for "disrupting public order" under Article 318 of the Penal Code and for "using false documents of agencies and organizations" under Article 341 of the Penal Code.

In the process of working with the police authorities, defendant Tran Thi Ngoc Trinh and defendant Tran Xuan Dong said that they were aware of their violations of the law and expressed their desire to receive leniency of the law.

"My behavior is very wrong, driving without a license, driving in contravention of traffic laws, performing in dangerous positions that affect public order, causing harm to young people. I hope everyone will always obey the traffic laws and never study and imitate my misbehavior just now," model Ngoc Trinh regretted.
