But as described by the male lead Gu Won ( Lee Jun Ho), Samir is a "playboy", who likes to drink, party and flirt with women. Upon arriving at the hotel, Samir quickly made a plan to flirt with the heroine Sa Rang (YoonA).

The Arab audience said that the film smeared the culture of the Arab country when it built the image of a prince with many bad habits.

One day after the controversy broke out, the "King The Land" producer spoke up and explained that: "The characters, regions, places... appearing in the film are fictitious and not intended. satirizes or distorts a particular culture. The production team respects different cultures."

But this action did not calm the boycott. The audience was not satisfied when no apology was given, and asked the producer to remove the episode.

The boycott "storm" has affected the film, and the actors have also been affected. On social networks, many extreme viewers used words to attack the two main actors Lee Jun Ho and YoonA.

Faced with that situation, on July 13, the producer side through JTBC's social network account to officially apologize to the audience.

The film production company "King The Land" deeply and sincerely apologizes to the audience for their lack of understanding, not taking into consideration different cultures, although the company did not intentionally belittle, distort any nation's culture.

In addition, the company said, they are reviewing the episodes with controversial content to find a way to modify accordingly.

Returning to the small screen in June, the movies "Royal Hotel" (King the Land, Lee Junho/YoonA) and "Heartbeat" (Heartbeat, Taecyeon/Won Ji An) are placed on the balance sheet. Compare when two works have different advantages and disadvantages.

In the first 2 episodes, if she did well the image of In Hae being cold and independent, in recent episodes, the actress's expression was criticized despite acting in surprise or anger.

Won Ji An's radio also lacks emotion, making it difficult for viewers to immerse themselves in the story. This led to a continuous decline in the viewership ratings of the series, from 4.1% in episode 1 to 2.8% in episode 1.
