Kieu Duy: New Miss Vietnam, biological mother reveals private life, mone.y management

Kieu Duy was born in 2003, from Can Tho, 1.67 m tall with measurements of 88-63-90 cm. She was crowned Miss Tay Do 2023. Before the final round, Kieu Duy was considered a potential candidate for the Miss title.

She entered the top of the sub-contests such as Miss Body, Miss Talent and Miss Lovely Face.

In the most nervous moments, Kieu Duy kept her composure, answered clearly in two languages and received support from a large audience. With her excellent performance, Nguyen Ngoc Kieu Duy was named the winner, and she became the first Miss Vietnam.

Kieu Duy impressed the judges by demonstrating her bravery in provincial speaking competitions, Vovinam Tai Chi competitions and winnin.g bronze medals. Not only impressing with her beauty and achievements, Kieu Duy also won over the judges with her fluent English communication skills and confident demeanor in the preliminary round. She was nominated in two categories: Top 5 Beauty in Body, Top 10 Beauty in Talent, Top 4 Beauty in Debate.

On her personal page, Kieu Duy freely updates her photos. The new Miss has a small face and pure, clear visuals. In simple images, Kieu Duy scores points with her smile that creates sympathy with everyone around her. The beauty queen favors a minimalist, gentle style. But when "dressed up", Kieu Duy also makes many people exclaim because of her equally sharp visuals.

On the final night, Kieu Duy's family of 20 people traveled from her hometown to Ho Chi Minh City to cheer her on at the Miss Vietnam National Final. The moment she was crowned, her family burst into joy.

Ms. Truc Linh (43 years old) - mother of Nguyen Ngoc Kieu Duy - along with many relatives and friends arrived early at Phu Tho Stadium (HCMC) to cheer her and other contestants at the final round of the first Miss Vietnam National Pageant.

In the audience, Ms. Truc Linh held a bouquet of flowers with the words "652 wonderful Kieu Duy" and held her phone to record every important moment of her daughter's competition night. After more than 4 hours of nervous waiting, Kieu Duy's relatives were happy and stood up to applaud when she officially became Miss Vietnam.

Talking about the moment Kieu Duy was crowned Miss after many attempts at beauty pageants before, Ms. Truc Linh shared: "In the family, Kieu Duy is the eldest sister, then a younger brother. At home, Kieu Duy is very obedient and cute. When my chil.d won the Miss title, I was very touched. From childhood until now, whatever Kieu Duy likes to do, I have supported and created conditions within my ability."

According to Kieu Duy's mother, all the expenses and mone.y for the Miss Vietnam National Contest and the previous ones were all taken care of and managed by her. When she was young, Kieu Duy was complimented by relatives and neighbors on her appearance. When she grew up, when she went to school, the school registered her to participate in a number of beauty contests.

Entering the university environment, Kieu Duy proactively participated in contests such as Miss Tay Do 2023, Miss FPTU Can Tho, 1st Runner-up of Thanh Lich Can Tho City High School and Student Contest.

"During the Miss Vietnam National Contest, there were times when Kieu Duy missed home and called home crying. I also felt sorry for her. Before the final round, she said she would try to get into the top and not think of becoming a beauty queen. When my daughter won the crown, I was happy but also a bit worried because I was afraid she would enter showbiz. However, I believe Kieu Duy will arrange her studies so that her parents won't have to remind her anymore," said Kieu Duy's mother.

The new Miss Vietnam is studying in Can Tho. Whenever she has free time, she returns to Vinh Long to visit her family. Kieu Duy's parents are both farmers, growing oranges and running small businesses.

"At home, Kieu Duy is a role model for her younger brother. Whenever he doesn't understand English, his younger brother will ask his older sister. When he was in middle school and high school, Kieu Duy was a good student, especially in English. Kieu Duy's teachers loved her very much," said Ms. Truc Linh. Kieu Duy's mother also added that in recent years, her daughter has only focused on studying and has not had a boyfriend.

Previously, in the top 3 question and answer round, receiving the question "Why do you deserve to be Miss Vietnam and not another gir.l" from People's Artist Vuong Duy Bien, Kieu Duy scored points with her confident demeanor, profound answer and good English speaking ability.

Kieu Duy shared: "During my journey as Miss Vietnam, I was trained in the virtues of honesty, beauty, speech, and conduct. A beauty queen is loved and recognized by the audience not only for her beauty and talent but also for the value she contributes to the community. I believe she deserves to win the title to represent Vietnam in the international arena."

Nguyen Ngoc Kieu Duy was crowned Miss Vietnam 2024. With this achievement, she will win a place to participate in Miss International 2025, the contest where Miss Thanh Thuy just made history when she was crowned the highest position.
