Nam Em recently became the center of attention with her candid comments regarding Tran Thanh's recently released film, "Tho Oi!" (Oh, Little Rabbit!), which is currently topping the box office and is a hot topic of discussion on social media.
When asked on her personal livestream whether she had seen the movie, Nam Em didn't hesitate to reply: "Yes, I've seen it, it's so good! I just finished watching it, so many emotions..." - her words, expressing her direct and enthusiastic feelings after the screening, quickly spread across entertainment forums.
Not stopping at praising the film, Nam Em also expressed her personal opinion about the "third party" character appearing in the story of Thỏ Ơi! (Oh, Rabbit!). She quoted a line from the film and offered her own perspective: "It means that people like that will be a great disaster, so those of you who are planning to destroy other people's family happiness should stop, be afraid, or maybe not afraid at all..."
This post immediately sparked much debate. Notably, Nam Em also offered a humorous hypothetical happy ending in her opinion for "Thỏ Ơi!" (Oh, Little Rabbit!): "Actually, if the movie 'Thỏ Ơi!' wanted a happy ending, guess what? He would give me 1 billion VND, I would break up with him, and then transfer the money immediately. People who truly love someone who find this strange will feel offended." This statement made the online community "laugh uncontrollably," and further discussed Tran Thanh's character development in the film.
Besides opinions revolving around the film's content, some netizens quickly dug up the past romantic scandal between Nam Em and Truong Giang, suggesting that this story reminded them of the character Thỏ in "Thỏ Ơi!" (Oh, Rabbit!). On online forums, many comments questioned the similarities between real life and the film, even wondering if Tran Thanh drew inspiration from the scandalous story that once rocked showbiz to incorporate into the script. However, this is only speculation from the online community, as the film's crew has not made any statements indicating that the work's content is based on a specific individual.
Regarding Nam Em, when asked about the resemblance between her character and herself in the movie "Tho Oi!", she didn't shy away from the question but answered directly. She said: "It's not like me at all. I'm not the type to chase after other people like that. It's only a part of me, just a small part, not the kind of resemblance where I'd jump off a building if I wanted to. No way."
According to Nam Em, any similarities, if any, are only in a very small aspect of their personalities, not the entire image of the characters. She added: "The similarity lies in the fact that we do things for people, and they only pay for what they eat. That's the similarity, just a little bit." Her half-joking, half-serious sharing further enlivened the comments section of the livestream.
Notably, Nam Em also mentioned the character Kim, played by Tran Thanh, in the film. She said that this character reminded her of her boyfriend. "As for Tran Thanh playing Kim, he's like Cuong (Nam Em's boyfriend). I only watched a few clips, but I thought, 'Wow, they're so good at researching the character's psychology. I swear, the way he speaks is exactly like Cuong, not a single difference,'" Nam Em shared.
Tran Thanh's hastily filmed movie raises concerns about quality and the risk of him being "ousted" from the industry.
Hoàng Phúc10:51:57 29/01/2026Successful works like "Em chưa 18" (I'm Not Yet 18) and "Mắt biếc" (Blue Eyes) are proof of that diligent and lengthy creative process. Therefore, the news that "Thỏ ơi!" (Oh, Little Rabbit!) - Tran Thanh's upcoming Lunar New Year film - was only made in 6 months has surprised many people...
